Help - Clock display?
I am curious if there is anyone out there who has changed their clock display to a different color. i own an es lancer and just recently changed every light in the car to red including my gauges, tripometer, AC controls, cigg. lighter, driving controls, and dimmer switch, but I was just wondering before I messed around with the clock display if anyone else has done this.....
correct me if i am wrong but to take out the dash piece around the clock just use a screw driver and a cloth correct? and does the clock display just need to be unscrewed or something? thanks a lot i appreciate any help because didnt find anything on this topic when i searched it, thx!

yeah, you are right around everything... once you get the clock/ac vents unscrewed from the dash, I THINK there are smaller screws holding the back of the clock in place. I would guess you just take those screws out and have at it. let us know how it goes
hey i just went outside to go take my dash off, i located the two screws under the AC control dash piece, but just how much force is needed to get this thing off? I was afraid of breaking it, is there any other screws I need to take out or was I just babying it? Thanks a lot.....
You don't need to get bulb replacements, just dome light condoms from autozone. But for the gauges go to your Mitsubishi dealer and order the bulbs that go behind the OZ gauges if you have an ES/LS. It saves a lot of time not making the condoms fit and it only cost like $15.00. I just made my own condoms for the rest of the bulbs, AC controls, CIGG. Lighter, Driving controls (P,R,N,D,etc...), and for the dimmer switch. If you need any help just pm me it is really easy and only takes about 15 minutes to do everything! Good Luck.

just to let you know IILANCERII02 its not really the color displayed all the time, its when at night when you turn on your lights that the clock display will change colors because if you notice when you turn on your lights even during the day the clock display changes another color which is more yellowish, and common to all the other lights before i changed them. i will post pics when i am done, but i also noticed i missed one light. the light underneath the drivers side automatic window button. there is a green light or something under there so i will have to change that one too. i will post a full how to with pics if possible when i complete the entire project.
i took my dash off before and when looking at the clock display i didn't see any bulbs in there. I was unable to take the whole thing apart right now because i am busy, but maybe later i will see what I can do, but I don't think that it is possible to change the color of the clock display, sorry guys. if someone else is successful please post how you did it, but until tomorrow i wont know for sure if it is possible sorry.
