Ok, I've searched the site and was unable to find anything on this. I'm interested in having the sidemarker blinkers shaved off, but I dont know if this would be legal.

I know we need them because currently our US headlight blinkers are centered up front on both sides of our grills. I was wondering if I installed the JDM headlights, which have a blinker that wraps around from the front to the side of the headlight, if it would be possible to then get rid of the sidemarker.

Anybody else already do this? I'd really hate to shave them off and then find out I can't pass inspection or something.

well just to let you know, the side marker is really needed.
the jdm headlight maybe at the side corner, but when it blink
it only blink in the front. so people from the side wont see it still

 

i'm not sure if its illegal to shave them but all i know is that those JDM lights arent legal and it wont pass

 

why dont oyu liek them anyway? i think they look pretty good.

 

just get some spray tint in a can and tint them like i did if you have a dark color car. but if you want to shave them, look up ozlancerlunatic.. he did it

 

ill be tinting mine soon, along with the reflectors.

 

who cares if its illegal....hehehe...i would take them out...that is what i am planning to do....i dont even have a 3rd brake light in the rear!

 

well Zoo...ur ride is all hooked up~! If a cop saw it going down the street, she/he'd probably wouldn't notice a missing side marker or ur 3rd brake light. He/She probably would just be like "daaaamn nice ride." Then pull u over just to see wut's under the hood

 

take them off if your going to get those m3 mirrors

 

Just go PIAA hyper white all around.. Bad idea not to have them..merging on freeway people next to you can't see blinkers without them...

 

ive had mine shaved off for over a year now. Looks way better without them
