FWD Transmission Removal
IIRC, depending on the year, the clutch tob is bolted to the trans with 3x 10mm bolts. If its the later years, using a standard style slave cyl, you should still be fine.
The last vehicle I ever had like what you describe, was a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo with a pull type clutch

www.car-part.com is the only place I have found one, unless your local junkyard happens to have a lancer lying around.
I have to ask around and do more research but I would think any F5M42 transmission would have the same gearing, some just have different styles of slave cylinder or mounting possibly, etc.? something to look into, you could have a trans shop swap the gears out. The trans shop I took mine to is looking for a 3rd gear (possibly 2nd as well) for mine at the moment. Will have to ask tomorrow how that is going.
