I ground the gouge flat, cleaned everything up with brakes parts cleaner, including the outside of the case, then put sealant on the plug, then hit it in with a rubber mallet, once it was flat, used a huge socket around the edges, then coated around the edge to the case -- I will be letting it cure for several days in the garage while I am waiting for my new slave to come

so..... it's running!!!!!!

got 12 miles on it right now..... no issues.....

clutch feels decent, no leaks that I can see right now......

gears feel tight to go in, but that could jsut be because of the new synchros

also, I ended up putting in brand new fluid today also

I vacuum bled the clutch this time

have over 70 miles as of today, I will be rechecking it for leaks in a little while... last time I checked it was all good though

I really think the leak was because they gouged the case/seal by popping it off from the side, and treusing it, then trying to hide that, with rtv.....

makes me wonder if the builder cheaped out on otehr stuff also..... the gears are starting to feel a little less notchy, and a little more normal though, so that's good

so I don't actually recall how many miles are on it right now, but.... I am somewhere in the realm of 450 miles on it, so I will be popping it open soon and look at the fluid, and change it if I thin kit is gross.....
