2008 Lancer "pulls to the left" Issue Petition
Man, here I thought I was just being fussy.. mine pulls left too. Not always and and not a lot, but there's no denying that it IS doing it. At first I just thought it was the road slant too but then I noticed it happening in places where there's no crown in the road at all. Sometimes it will go dead straight, but that's rare. I guess it's time for me to notify my dealer, just to get it on record.
My GTS has done it since I drove it off the lot too (with only 6 miles on it). I took it in a few days ago to get checked (I now have 9000 miles on it), and as I expected they test drove it, didn't see the problem, and checked the alignment and it was perfect. So no fix for me either!
I don't own a GTS yet, but planning on it in the next 2 months. So I will be disccusing this with the salesperson whom I've been in talks with.
But my 2 cents are do you think that the factory specs for the alignment/camber are wrong/off. Since when all you owners bring the car in, and the re-do a balance and alignment it still turns out the same issue. The dealers should be going by the engineers specs which could be not accurate. Idk again just my thoughts....

Me and a friend played around with Toe and Caster angles and it still consistently pulled to the left no matter what the angles were. The power steering system doesn't seem to be the issue either.
I have not had a problem with nether of my gts's. Took my car in to have lojack installed to day. Talked to the service manager at Victorville
and he said that the pull to the left is from the rear camber being off 1deg. (about 1/16").
my cay has over 12000mi on it

1 degree which way: + or - ? Did he tell you? I'm interested in trying this.
so what does that mean i have to buy a camber kit and have it installed?
i just got new snows put on too and when they checked my tread my rear outside edges were wearing a lot more so would this be the cause for it? if so then that is some BS and mitsu should pay for a camber kit or fix it and get me a new set of tires.

unfortunately the camber kit is only available for the fronts, not the rear.
I doubt the rear camber on one side is making the car drift. Usually with alignment issues. The car pulling/drifting is a "tracking" issue. That is when the rear toe is set off and making the back end travel to either side. This tries to pull the car either direction, making you fight it. Just my guess. Mitsu is really being stupid on their "known issues".

im thinking about trading my car in for a GTS pretty soon.
imo ... what if they just engineered the gts with a "sport tuned suspension" as they advertise and it was designed to pull to the left
rally car alignment specs naturally make the car pull left.

Meaning: All other things being equal, the simplest solution is the best. See also here.
I think
just kinda screwed up the alignment. I'm darn sure the GTS wasn't made for rallying.
Just returned from a 3 hour wait at the dealer. They adjuested air pressure, did a 4-wheel alignment, and rotated the tires. The tech still wasn't happy. They told me to bring it back sometime next week when more of the Mitsu guys are there. This is a Lincoln, Mercury, Mitsubishi dealer... so I'm guessing I had a Ford tech today.
It doesn't pull as hard, but the steering feels funny. Plus my steering wheel is constantly crooked to the right now. This better get fixed.
GGRRRR!!!

My only response to your theory is this: lex parsimoniae.
