2008 Lancer "pulls to the left" Issue Petition
^ Same. After I put on winter tires & rims, there wasn't any pull. I think the pull to the left has more to do with the tire vs. the rim. When I first purchased the GTS, there wasn't any pull to the left. Then after about 6000KM, it because very apparent. There could be abnormal wear on the tires causing this after a period of time. I read a post on this forum somewhere speaking about the stock tires and it possibly being a cause for the left pull.
we just need to have an update from someone who has dumped the stock tires to see if it's still pulling to the left . Sounds like the stock dunlop SP Sport 5000M are totally crappy tires .
The "stock dunlop sp sport 5000M" theory sounds solid at first sight: the problem is GTS only and it disappears when changing to other [winter] tires.
However if the stock tires are the cause then how come it always pulls to the left ?!?
ps: mine pull too ...

How wide are the stock GTS tires? Wide tires do tend to wander more than narrow tires... Just a thought... My RA pulls left even after alignments... I go to a narrower tire and it doesn't....
They're not overly wide (215/45/18), but I see what you mean. They do react more to ruts in the roads than say a 195. But maybe BlackSheep is right. That would be a problem if the tires were directional and
made a mistake.
made a mistake.
Ok everyone, I took this to Mits and basically they are treating it as individual cases and basically dont want to admit to any wrong here. My car is driving straight now after several adjustments and overseeing them do them myself. At this point I don't know what to do, maybe go to the media????? I dont have the money to get a lawyer and file something. Any ideas?????
Also one thing I've always noticed is my front left tire, even with 32psi in all tires, always looks low to the eye (when compared to the rest of the tires). I know absolutely nothing about tires, but maybe the GTS has more weight in the front left and the wider tires amplify this enough to cause it to pull? Could that even make any sense?
