Well i Had a CAI on my 03 Oz. It was coo at first but you loose alot of bottom end torque. Top end is pretty nice, but since our lancers only redline at 5.8 dosent really matter on top end. Low and Mid torque is the way to go and a SRI is the best way for it. You will also notice on a CAI is throttle response is very poor. I also have a bypass valve on my CAI and it works great. Im about to the Stock Ram system(SRI that sucks cold air) my car came with , just need to go buy one cuz i misplaced mines. And it connects the MAF directly to the filter how u guys were talking about.

The PVC Is heating up the air / " not cooling it" Its plastic. Plastic hold heat in, not dissipated like aluminum does! your ECU/ MAF is getting hot air signal and it shooting down the engine.
