Ok, I have installed my short ram and there is a black bracket under the box its gotta polish kind of finish to it and it has some screws that say 4 thats holding it down. From the looks of it, it's only holding this thing of wires and thats it. Is it safe to remove this? My intake keeps tapping it!?? HELP PLEASE!

I left that black bracket on. My intake does not hit it at all, rests about an inch above it. Make sure that you install the angle bracket that came with the RRM kit, I am assuming you are talking about the RRM kit. This mounts onto the metal interface that bolts onto the MAS with those four bolts. The other side of the angle bracket bolts onto the firewall. There is a screw that grounds a few wires, just back the screw out, and bolt the angle bracket securely onto the firewall.

When I installed my RMR SRI, I had to remove it or else the heat shield would hit the hood when I closed it. Im pretty sure you'll want to remove it for ANY SRI, but I've never seen the RRM one in person... thats the only one in question in my mind as to if you leave it or not.

I also have a question about a short ram. I installed it just fine, but it won't run a steady RPM. It idles kind of rough, but if you hold the gas to 2000 RPM's, it goes up to 2500, then back down to 2000, then up to 2500, etc. Any ideas? Thanks.

That's weird, maybe this is happening because its cold? and the car is trying to warm up?

Same ol' same ol'. Check for vacuum leaks, make sure the install is 100%. Also check for MAS damage as your car sounds like it's hunting for an idle. Why are you holding the idle at 2000RPM anyway? Are you sure it's not just your foot? As for the bracket, I actually used that to hold up my intake for the longest time until I figured out my current mounting scheme. Probably time to remove it.

It wont hold a steady rpm...The 2000 thing is when i try to hold it steady. It won't hold steady. It's not my foot. If I reset the computer, the SES light will stay off for about 30 or 40 miles, then kicks on again? I did remove the restrictor plate. Think I should throw it back on? Thanks.
