Exactly. Same for both. The reality is, if there wasn't an STI I would be in an EVO in a flash. Its a fantastic car!

I couldn't care less about the fanboys. That's all they are. Typical jackasses that don't know anything about cars.....only what they read.

if everyone hasn't gotten enough of the bickering and time wasting, here's some more on nasioc (with drag results from the car in question)

I didn't realize that Subarus where so far behind EVOs when it came to modding, but EVO owners been through this sh*t already, bogus shops and bogus numbers
Please hold your breath for a year underwater.

Dude I had this guy pull up to me and tell me his subie ran 10's two ngiths agao. Then went on to say it puts down 508 whp, lol. We played a few times but he kept cutting me off or swerving into my lane every time I hit 3rd gear and would have pulled on him... All I was impressed with was how fast the car initially took off but after 2nd gear he had nothing, so much as he swerved into my lane hitting on his brakes
" NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE" We had an empty two lane road too........weak *** tactics.

As far as this 07 STI making the power claimed.....oh well, I have also seen this thread posted on so many forums...... so break out the slips or something. Funny how the guy who posted the thread on Nasoic (sp) said the owner doesn't post online......

If it's true that's good. Now the STI (07 owners atleast) can experience what "us" Evo owners have been enjoying over and over!

Not to "call you out," but 280 whp isn't much (your signature). Not to mention, all this "power" that Evos seem to be "enjoying...." Between many of the people posting their dyno #s on this forum, I see an average of between 320-350 whp on well-modded cars. While they're respectable #s, that's still not a lot of hp. Stock LS1 Fbodies make more whp than your "modded" Evo right off the showroom floor. Put an exhaust, lid, and tune on one and they make in the 320-335 whp range. C6 Corvettes are putting down 350 whp stock.

And what does posting on forums have to do with owning a fast car? Look at the average of the people posting on forums. They're between 20-25 years old. On this site, I'm probably considered an old man.

that guy's 108 trap on 280WHP is pretty sweet

Somebody in a Corvette either doesn't know how to drive or ended up with a real lemon. They're consistently trapping in the 112 mph range right off the showroom floor.

just like the IX's and their revised heads, better cooling allows for more timing=MORE POWER!!!

Can't wait for the X to come and spank the Sti competition flat. . .I still heart my VIII. . .

So your car was heatsoaking, but you trapped 111 mph? And when it's not heatsoaking you trap 112 mph? You must not be heatsoaking as much as you think you are.

111 mph in a C6....as I mentioned, "right around 112 mph."

What mods do you have done to your car? You're only making 279 wtq. I'm making 272 wtq with nothing more than a lousy (and it is lousy) off-the-shelf Cobb Stage 1 tune.

i trapped 112 on 295WHP in 40 degree weather 2 months ago and then i trapped only 111 on 329WHP but the weather was disgusting

i think on a similar 40 degree day i can trap 114-115, i'm not going to be slower with 35 more WHP and my 60' improved
