I'm honestly not sure why you would be confused? It didn't seem like anyone else was from my post. 4 years ago when I bought the 8 my plan was to mod it and race, hopefully get into the 11's. I didn't care about a comfortable daily driver.

4 years later things change (and people get older). Sure I could have kept the 8 as a "weekend" car, but I wasn't happy with it at all. The longer I waited I would get less money when I sold it. I chose to put it all behind me and went with a new car. It was a great decision, absolutely no regrets.

Sure if I could predict the future I would have never modded my 8. I'm glad to be done with that hobby.

So is blaming it on the 4b11. Many racers have absolutely NO problems with them. Yet he keeps blowing them? Find a better tuner or build the engine appropriately. Exaggerate your statement much???

We actually haven't found that to be true here in the states - not sure about long term though. the Gates X motor was bulletproof, ironically until it got built, but then again it had significant less load from weight

its all about the tuner. i can protest it .. LOL

also its not true this statment. 4B11 has a weak connecting rods for a high boost, as soon as that changed: gloves off .
Worth to mention 4g63 also not happy with stock engine and high boost... and the 4B11T come at a higher boost then any 4G63 from factory...
so reality both needs to be upgraded for racing application. And from there the 4B11 has a nicer smoother power curb and power delivery, which is the good race engine all about.

in fact the 4B11T is a much better flowing and designed engine vs the 4G63. Which after many manty years became strong but outdated at a same time. The 4B11T is a good smooth strong engine.
i would call it event. and that is a great thing since the 4B11 is a firts gen of its on kind vs the latest 4G63 10 + developing behind ...
Most builder prefer 4G63 because they are more familiar with it, and they have millon spare parts sitting on the shelf.

Why do you keep talking out of your ***? Just stop, you're making yourself look very very foolish. ETS had no issues running 600whp on stock internals. So please, spare me us your "opinions". Put your fanboiness aside and look at the facts. AMS, ETS, MRT, SSP and many other individuals have done just fine over the 500whp mark. It all boils down to the tuner, if it's blowing before then, the tuner got way to aggressive with it. "end of"

i agree that the evo9 is the last true evo, in that its the evolution of the 1g63 upto the 4g63 motors, and the yearly inprovment in each model, and i believe they all will be collectors items in the future, i have resently purchased a evo9 in good condition and plan to keep it, drive it and enjoy it

I would have to see one in person first. Then I would be more likley to keep my EVO and just buy the X as a second vehicle.

The new evo x's are more user friendly to the average driver but the evo8 and 9 just provide more driver feedback and make you feel like you are more in control than the 10
