Evo X vs. Evo VIII and IX
Well I'm glad I for opinions from x owners and those who owned both. It seems the majority on both sections agree to keep the ix. Some think the x is a more comfortable car but in the end it's really wether or not I will be happy with either. I think I'm going to keep the car, clean it up and do what I wanted to do on the exterior, and use my beater as a daily. I want to get it out on the track more this upcoming season and see where it goes from there. That's where I truly appreciated the car.
If you are bored one day, Id still say take an X out for a spin, I went to the dealership thinking "this car is fatter, slower, etc etc" but when I got done with a nice 20 minute test drive, I got out of it and even told the guy I was pleasantly surprised by the car. Which is why Ive got a plane ticket to pick mine up next weekend
All I'm saying is that you shouldn't come forth as a guru in the Evo realm. Especially, when you had to post a thread on why your spark plug cover was cracked. You didn't even know what the proper name of that particular cover was called and you considered it was due to your Evo was making " too much power ". Lmao now that's funny. "A sparked plug cover just cracked due to immeasurable amounts of power". Too funny.
Once you've made the contribution that kyoo has to the evo community, please, resume mocking him, but until then, you might wanna just STFU.
Be nice, with this comment you didnt exactly impressed us.
Nothing wrong to be challenged or having different opinion. There is guys on this forum who has less post count and never organized groupe buy. But i would take his opinion over Kyoo. No offense to Kyoo though, just another opinion. Which like a.holes right? Everyone have one.

And yet today his threads are stickied here on EvoM. Many of us subscribe to and follow them religiously. He organized Buschur doing another run of racing harness bars after they had been discontinued. Noone else did.

i guess to complete my thoughts, as far as the other stuff he said - yes, i was new to cars when i first joined the forum. yes, i enjoy reviews - as a point of conversation, not as a determinant for what car is better/faster/has more potential than the other, and i think i've made it clear enough that reviews are not where i get my experience, and i'm an avid autocrosser.
finally, i had a good laugh at the statement about stating facts not bs when just a few posts ago he mocked me for not keeping up with the real racing world as he posted a fake nurburgring time from wikipedia.
i love all evos, and the ix and x are both great cars, i've never said otherwise. i love the debating and conversation because it's helped the community to identify the weak points in both cars in order to improve on them. the sensational performance from the x's AYC is one of the biggest factors for me gathering all the data about the rear diff mod for 8/9s, as well as actually installing it and running it in autocross on my own car. same for the acd reflash, chassis improvements, suspension improvements, etc.
like i said though, i think everything that could have been said has already been said now. i decided to ignore tellme's quips about things i've said and mistakes i've made in the past, and i'll be the first to admit that i still feel like i'm new to cars - none of that is related to x vs 8/9.

Here is the new testing ground for me :
familiar?? LOL Did you ever tried the X like that? And that is just your "special field" , never mind the rest .

So now you need to do a same with a X, so you can see better, and finally understand what i am saying to you, why is the X great in racing too, just as any other evo or even slightly better. I have done The platform you have, now i am doing the new one. I have personal experience and history in both world. Not just one platform. In fact i have 3 different generation Evo to compere in my history.

regardless, i must have said a dozen times in what arenas the x is better, rear suspension geometry being one of them.
and also like i've said a dozen times, for autox, 8/9s are still dominant. in classes permissible, bushings should be used to correct some of the weaknesses in the rear suspension geometry, and it does make a big difference for how the car behaves, and yes i have these 'fixes' in my own car. it's an area of the 9 that has been addressed long ago.
it's pretty much all been said now. unless there are new points to be made, this thread has pretty much served its purpose. what someone should really do is compile all the data and pros cons and arguments into one single post so people don't keep rehashing the same arguments

Are you slow or something how many times do I have to repost the same thing?
Ill try to explain like I'm talking to a five year old. First you said the plastics are worse, then you disagreed about the aesthetics, then you quote someone stating that the seats in the X are better than the IX but you give them a sarcastic reply, which I took as "no way are the X seats better than the IX seats"
Sarcastic reply "It's all about the look. Why, of course!
"
I took that as yeah they look nicer but are not better.
If you still don't get it then I'm sorry but I don't have or want to waist any more time explaining it to you.

Evilrob, I agree with you but there is no point debating with FJF. Its just a waste of time.
Lets just help out the person that started this thread.
