Though the changes are radical from the IX to the X... The X has grown on me and I'm loving the car more and more. Plan on purchasing one of these beasts soon Evo For Life!

although this comment sounds great for the X owners. it is not true. The X will not kill any previous evo on track.
Or visa versa.
Between factory evos, the biggest difference it makes, the driver him/her self. Period.

and that is the ultimate truth / if you understand what i wrote here /

Can someone cleary give me the reason why the EVO X handels so much better then the EVO IX but not US EVO's JDM EVO's. becuase both would have the S-ayc. i've been researching but the arugment seemed to go back and forth. better if both were the same trim like MR's or GSR's. though true from what was written above but driver aside.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking for, but the main reason the X handles better than the IX is the chasis. An 08 base lancer is stiffer than an Evo IX. That's where the majority of the gain comes from. In the US, the X handles better than the IX because, like you said, AYC. Couple this with a 20% more rigid chasis and you got yourself a badass handling car. In Japan, where both vehicles had AYC, the chasis was the only difference. Hence the improved handling on the X.

the different is so obvious in the states, because the previews models didn't come with the S-AYC at all. The fact the matter is almost did go back the evo 3 set up, where is no AYC at all.
In other part on the world the handling difference is not that obvious since they got the S-AYC.
But STILL the X handles better.
So just imagine the difference from the non AYC set up to the S-AWC set up. Kinda like the time travel
In the us the 8-9 with no S-AYC and all of the sudden the X comes with rigid er body and the S-AYC

The X is growing on me, everything but the engine bay, I still don't like the rear mounted turbo configuration but they had to change something after 17 years of the 4G63.

First on,8´s and 9´s are great cars,as all evo´s befor. But time moves on,the X is really a awesome handling car, perfect on a racetrack(i don´t speak about 1/4mile racing,as i dont care),it outhandles every evo befor as it doesnt understeer after 2 fast laps, uses the tyres much better, very neutral till light oversteer.......and still has around the same % of improvements i think then all evo´s befor,so this means you can ruin most supersportcar owners trackdays with your cheap 4door saloon

sounds like one of those 'good wins over evil' children's stories

read Car&Driver for November, their track article at the 4.2mile VIR. The '08 X MR posted identical numbers to the '06 IX MR around the track. but thats only at the 4 mile track where the X has a chance to use all its technological advances.
while around town, in every day driving, with the added 400lb of crap, the X can barely keep up with an Infiniti G35 sedan.
oh btw, the X costs same as a 335i now too

I hate to burst your bubble, but the EVO X will smoke a G35 with ease in every category. The 2008 G35 S, which is the only model to come with a 6 speed and is the most powerfl G35 to date, will do 0-60 in 5.5 and the 1/4 in 14.1, according to car and driver. The GSR will do 0-60 in an average of 4.9 from all the magazines with a fastest recorded time of 4.6, also from car and driver. The MR, which is handicapped by that TC SST tranny's inability to handle hard launches, is even still faster than the G35 at 5.1 and 13.7.

So, a X can hardly keep up with a G35? Yeah... Oh, and the X weighs in at about 280 lbs heavier than the EVO 9, not 400. Also, those 280 lbs weren't gained in heavy luxury items, as the X has almost none, it was in a stiffer, wider chassis with a wder track and a stronger, and much improved tranny and AWD system. I'll trade 2 tenths in the 1/4 mile for the improved handling of the X any day of the week. I'm not even going to comment on all of the other improvements of the car because this is played out already.

^ Dont U See How Ridiculous Your Argument Is ?!?!?! When I Said Infiniti G35, I Was Being Sarcastic! But U R Serious!! How Could U Even Compare The Evo To A Large Luxury Family Sedan ???? They Shouldnt Even Be In The Same Realm !R U Talking In Your Sleep? Am I The Only One Awake ?
Evo Should Be Comparred With Audi Rs4 If Anything. so the fact that the X is even close in performance to a cheap infiniti, or lexus, is already a sign of trouble

VIR Grand Course is a high speed track.

Oh, and where can I get a 335i for $31,000?
