More powerful than an Evo 8.

Subaru Legacy GT is a good choice as well.

You will not be disappointed with a fiesta st. At least drive one and youll see!
It does seem like Ford has their sh** together lately. Most all their vehicles have good styling (at least IMO), and the GT500 has one hell of a motor. Makes me think that if they do release an AWD Focus RS, it could turn the AWD market on end and probably kill the 10 unless Mitsu makes some significant updates (how long have we been waiting?)

On another note, I came across a series of articles claiming that Subie would be making an AWD BRZ STI. I'm not into the boxer motor and a 2D coupe makes it even less appealing to me, but I figure I would mention it.

I don't think AWD is even possible on the BRZ as the packaging is too tight. It doesn't make any sense for the car, anyways. STI version is more likely but it'll still be NA.

It's a bit ridiculous. It's like I'm driving a Porsche or something.

Honestly, I've been kicking around the idea of getting rid of the car and picking up a 2014 Evo GSR. It's hard to go back to that horrible interior though.
ST is seeing somewhat similar prices right now (except on DP, that runs closer to $300-$400, $600 for catted, still a bit insane). I'm hoping it's just the "new model" tax and that the prices will start getting reasonable after the initial development of the car has passed and we get more into mass-produced low-margin parts.

Apparently, Subie announced it back in the March-May time frame. Its scheduled for a 2015 debut. There are a bunch of articles on it. I suppose whether Subie goes thru with it remains to be seen. Or maybe the announcement was BS?

I'm afraid MrF might be recalling this press release, dated 4/1/2013.

MS6 is porky and nose heavy. I test drove it once, and it was not a great improvement over my old 2003 6s (which was wonderful DD BTW, I am sorry I sold it).

LOL. Your link didn't work, but a quick search on the Subie website revealed it. Its not the articles I had seen - they all gave a believable vision of a real turbo BRZ. This is definitely the source though, so indeed its AF BS.

just picked up a 14 Focus ST, the steering, brakes, and response feel very evo-like. I just needed a better daily driver while my X will be more of a track focused car. It was between this, a 12 MS3, or 13' WRX. I hated the MS3's exterior, but it had good power. The WRX handled like garbage; very 1st gen DSM ish around corners, but very good power for stock. Overall what did it for me was the interior, the space and the handling. now time to get rid of the wheel hop.......

Not only that, but it ended production around the same time the Evo IX did... so it's not exactly a "newer alternative."

Same price range will be the Mercedes CLA AMG or whatever its called. ~350hp, 7 speed dual clutch, AWD. Still 4 cyl, but DCT might help that out. Hopefully its not a tank though.
This, I know my next car is going to have 8 cylinders for sure
