I don't know... I kind of feel like Tesla may just make a lot of cars (like most) obsolete. I would almost like to see you focus your considerable reverse engineering and coding talents on Tesla drive trains?

As the model S becomes accessible to more folks and/or if they install the model X AWD drivetrain into a more performance oriented vehicle I can see how custom torque vectoring and various racing/launch apps would be a lot of fun with 800+lbs of torque to mess with. They must have some diagnostic port... no one has let me near enough to one to paw over it.

Overall what did it for me was the interior, the space and the handling. now time to get rid of the wheel hop.......
Be curious to drive one of these, there is a lot of good press about them.

Seems like a good platform for power, but I want four doors.

I just read the press release on the 2015 Golf R - sounds like a major redesign. For sure it will be faster and handle better, but it apparently still lacks limited slip diffs. Instead, they use the brakes to control wheel spin in corners.

Check out the new Volvo polestar V/S60's. I am highly considering jumping ship to the V60. 350hp isn't much but it's a good base, awd and a wagon for practicality. The only thing that downs me is the tranny. I think I can deal with paddles if I had to though.

The Golf R handles way better than the S4. I was looking at both and tried both and ended up with the Golf R over the S4. S4 feels heavy and soft.

Still a great car for what it is but the Golf R feels MUCH more sporty.

Also check out the upcoming S3. S3 = Golf R = Audi TTS

The S3 looks really nice. I'm waiting for it to get here and that might be what I get rid of the '14 Evo for.

the Evo CT9A was already faster than the RS4 in the evocarmagazine.uk. anything less is not a replacement.

Would you happen to have a link for that article? I remembered reading it a long time ago but couldn't remember where it was from for the life of me.
