I can't see Ford introducing the RS only to redo it a year later.

Maybe Ford is reading this thread and is going to redo it for 2017 with all the insightful input everybody has contributed here.

That's the optional hard park tire pkg.

You guys just love to nitpick every freaking thing about this car.

Same OEM tire size as the Golf R. The similarities continue.
Calm down, calm down LOL. As my sig says, it's just my opinion. A 235 tire on a 19" wheel looks anemic to me. I'm not picking on the car, only stated I'd swap the wheels/tires out asap

I'm calm, just stating facts.

A 235/35 on a 19" would look exactly the same as a 235/35 on a 18", as it would on a 17", wheel widths and tire brand/model being constant.

Here is the 2017 "internet forum man-boy" edition that Ford is going to put out.

You don't have to be able to open the rear doors when you are all alone in life...

I'm genuinely interested in the car. Debating between it and a Golf R.

They also look narrow to me. I won't go into the obvious performance advantage of a 255.

Never mind

😀

Test drive time!
On paper, it's pretty much a toss up. That's good news for those looking to have options.

Guys, it's 2 cm of tire. I know men like to argue over an inch, but enough already.

I'll wait for an instrumented test, and/or a shoot out from Car and Driver or Road and Track. That read like, "we promised Ford a good review if they gave us a car first." lol

The RS has historically lagged the regular Focus by a few years, so this isn't really surprising.
