Focus RS
I wonder how Nemsin feels about RWD cars where the drift button is attached to the throttle pedal? Would he dismiss everything else about the car because of that feature, just like he is doing with the RS? Will he correct my grammar once again? Will he mutter something under his breath in a passive aggressive way while standing next to his car at a parking lot meet?

Yes, but "drift mode" is going to be a whole new level of rear tire destruction. But whatever, its not my money. If oversteer power sliding around a track is how someone wants to spend theirs, more power to them.
You know, you don't have to use drift mode, right? You can put it in track and turn off the nannies, or drive like a RWD car in drift mode and be more controlled with steering and throttle inputs. You seem to literally be making **** up so that you can you don't like this car.
Oh you mean DONUTS! Who cares Michelin's are consumable items, just like the rest of the car lol!!!

This sounds quite evo-esque; Overdrive the entry, throttle out for maximum fun.
"The key is to the car understeering slightly on entry before standing hard on the power. The car then breaks into a big, sweeping arc of a drift, front wheels pointed straight right up until the end of the slide, at which point you do need to dial in some corrective lock. "

99.9% of RS owners will never track their car anyways. So I guess its moot.
I was commenting on this post. Personally, I think its a ridiculous way to drive. It wears out tires and is not nearly the fastest way around a corner. But if wearing your Ken Block sweatshirt and being a hoonigan is your thing, then enjoy.

Regardless, the fastest lap times in my Evo have always come when dancing at the very ragged edge of adhesion with some slip angle on corner exit, and getting the car to rotate when on the brakes. Seeing as how its a "rally" car, it makes sense because that is really how its designed to be driven; on the dirt, with little grip, and a bit sideways. Obviously if you have a down-force car like the Tilton Evo you're not going to be sliding around so much, if at all. But I have found my car to be faster when pushed a bit past the limit.
I don't get where you're coming from. You say it will never be an Evo 9. Than a journalist writes something that makes it sound VERY evo-esque, and you complain...
