That right there is your problem. Seriously, find me one RS on the street with this problem. You're pointing to an issue that they caught during testing, and claiming it is present on the cars that are hitting the market.

You are right, they did find the problem during testing and their "fix" was to attach a metal plate to the front of the intercooler. Seems kinda Macgyver to me.

So what? The problem was fixed. You have zero proof that this problem affects the RS.

...I can't even. I would explain how ridiculous this is, but it revolves around how the English language operates along with some basic logic so I suspect my time would be wasted.

You are right, Ford "fixed" the problem with a metal plate taken from a Ford Van. Sounds like a pro fix to me. I guess if an RS owner upgrades their intercooler, they can just swap over this magical plate. But I guess there is no reason to upgrade the fmic, because the OEM one is SUPER efficient

I've read a lot of this thread and it is entertaining but I happen to agree with you nemsin but the MacGyver reference made me LOL. I thought the same thing. They found it in testing, concocted a BS PR response, IMO, because surely everyone would notice that plate and begin to speculate why they would do that. Ford just did the smart thing and jumped in front of the issue.

Again, dude, who cares? You can be as sarcastic and condescending as you want, but the fact is you cannot point to a single RS that suffers from the problem you have harped about for pages. You may not like the "fix" but it's a fix nonetheless.

are you saying a fix has to be expensive and complicated to be acceptable? so all the big rigs back east should have their radiators re-engineered instead of covering them with flaps? it was an easy fix that wouldn't delay production. sorry it's not "pro" enough....?

and who knows at what power level a FMIC will be needed. we'll see.

exactly the same as how you bought a truck engine, and the diesel truck engine and other diesel engines in the Performance gasoline engine thread. When you try desperately prove your speculations.

Good thing about this forum, its like a ZOO... you throw some banana in the monkey cage and then just sit down and watch.

Like I said, I'd explain the obvious distinction, but only people with a firm grasp of English would understand.
