OMG! That Focus RS just launched -- we know all the cool kids in this thread would never do that.

A base 2014 box stock with a full tank of gas, manuals, was 3487lbs on my scales. 2008s are the heaviest US Xs, also have the lowest power. They didn't increase the rating until the FE, yet dyno power rose 30whp plus through the years.
The RS isn't overrated, everyone else is sandbagging, lol.

Razorlab,
I am sorry I did not check/fact check trunk space: my 8 seems to have good trunk space, and in my recollection my only experience with Focus led me to believe it had small trunk, with rear seats.
Frankly I am surprised it has so much trunk space, as listed in the actual specs.
The weight above of 3181 of GSR SE was totally an involuntary error- not cherry picking- yet again.
Good thing I/we have you, to fact-check!!
When are you selling the Fiesta for RS?

My IX, bone stock with ZERO weight reduction and 3/4 tank of gas weighed 3190 at MIR (Maryland Int'l Raceway). This was about a month or two after I bought it back in '06 with about 1,000 miles on the clock.
Not sure if people understand that over time cars have been getting heavier, whether it's because of safety standards, features that were considered options years ago that are standard in cars now, or whatever. ~3,500lbs for a 2016, four door, AWD, boosted hatch isn't bad at all.

I mean sure, Ford COULD aluminum or carbon fiber everything, but like you said, who the hell wants to pay $60k+ for a Ford Focus?
