Exactly. That's the purpose of the hot hatch segment. And the turbo AWD "affordable" segment. Affordable cars. Not super alloy/composite street going race cars. With modern requirement, people have to expect heavier car if they want to keep a certain price point. Especially since the FoRS is coming from an existing platform.

My IX, bone stock with ZERO weight reduction and 3/4 tank of gas weighed 3190 at MIR (Maryland Int'l Raceway). This was about a month or two after I bought it back in '06 with about 1,000 miles on the clock.
Not sure if people understand that over time cars have been getting heavier, whether it's because of safety standards, features that were considered options years ago that are standard in cars now, or whatever. ~3,500lbs for a 2016, four door, AWD, boosted hatch isn't bad at all.

My evo X GSR also never was 3500 lbs for sure, i have to look up the corner balancing sheets somewhere. lol.

I am also sure scales are just as different as dynos are....
