Focus RS
Of throttle a LSD does add understeer. Corner entry or decreasing radii, the LSD makes things worse. On throttle, its only useful if its preventing inside front wheel spin.
For AX, I would take the non-lsd Focus. I wouldnt even question it. After using open, installing quaife, running evo IX OEM, wavetrac torsen, 1way clutch, I will absolutely take 1way clutch > Open > Torsen for AX.

i would actually not question taking the LSD RS, as would the RS autoxers i've spoken to. the car is also way too loose as it is already, so some stability on corner entry isn't actually the worst thing in the world. in a traditional setup like the evo's awd, maybe a different story.
Ok...so how about a AWD Civic Type-R for competition?

this all reminds me of the arguments people use to have about the CT9A not being a real evo, especially the version of it we got here in the states. If they only knew how big the CZ4A was gonna be lol. Some people just can't be pleased.
whats different about the Evo X outside of the US?
sorry yah i meant people where *****ing about how big the ct9a was, little did they know...
people were also *****ing about all the goodies we got shafted on, at least the X got that stuff.

? i never said it doesn't, only that behavior varies on corner entry, corner exit, what type of diff is in the front, etc. these guys are arguing it adds corner exit understeer. i don't buy it. does waife atb add understeer on off throttle? i haven't heard that it is engaged in decel. RSs are getting one tire fire coming out of corners at autox. it's not "just" preventing inside wheel spin, obviously more torque is going to the outside wheel. how much faster that is, idk. but i wouldn't want to start out handicapped.

The last thing I'd agree with is the car is too loose. I daily drive my Evo X and actually have an RS and the LAST thing it is, is "loose". The RS will 3 wheel it in tight turns at Bader Field, on stock suspension mind you where as the X had to be damn near lifted in its own right at super high speed. Stock for stock, RS all day. With my V3's and other mods, now it's competitive.
Seems like theyre loose in transition which is I assume from the shocks being overly aggressive or the RDU trying hard to do something dynamic. But in steady state they seem pushy stock. Which the Evo is too. Its hard to fight physics when you have >60% front weight.
You guys also aren't taking into account variance of who's behind the wheel. I think my evo is setup extremely loose as Im constantly sliding around yet when I had my friend drive it he got it to push in places where I was countersteering.
