Homolgation specials are just that, special. I wish Toyota would sell the homolgation Yaris WRC in the US.

What form of ACD/ayc did it have? The article said ayc but the description sounded like ACD.

The VI has AYC. Its a bit less on performance then the VIII Super-AYC/ SAWC or S-AYC what ever you like to write down lol, mainly because the less torque vectoring at the rear, as the later S-AYC.
Also the S-AYC needs a different ACD ECU compere to the earlier AYC equipped cars . The whole AWD system is better then the VI has.

Someone needs to learn the "Multi-quote" function.

You are correct. ACD didn't find it's way into an Evo until the Evo 7. The Evo 7 also introduced the helical front LSD.

AYC was introduced with the CN9A platform. (Evo 4)
S-AYC was introduced with the CT9A platform. (Evo 8)

I personally prefer Evos with no ACD and no AYC.

Are you sure about that? I am not up on my WRC rules history, its actually quite complex, but there are multiple sites on the internet (I know what can you trust these days) claiming "in 2001, Mitsubishi was forced by the FIA to race in the WRC using WRC rules for building a car instead of the Group A class rules, and thus did not need to follow homologation rules."

Maybe its the suspension changes I have made, but my 6 rs rotates better than any of my 9's (I have owned 3 9's, including a 9RS). /shrug

Isn't ACD and AYC what makes an Evo evo around?
