2012 lancer gt snow trouble
I have a 2012 lancer gt and it sucks in the snow when going up hill i lose all power to the tires they dont spin and my motor doesnt rev up and i get stuck on every hill with snow i have lived in new england my whole life so i know how to drive in the snow
Hands down the best post in this thread.
Turn off traction control?
FYI the Lancer GT is FWD. Prob not the best choice for going uphill in the snow.
Most cars are still front heavy so as a generic guideline, when it comes to snow, AWD > FWD > RWD.
It's worth noting that good snow tires trump which wheels are driving by a wide margin.
update on my buddy's RS:
He's been having a steady stream of issues. There was a factory reset for the ECU that made the car run kinda crappy (I don't know the details, just how he put it). The launch control no longer works. It's come to him having to lawyer up in efforts to get Ford to fix it. I assume this is a dealer issue, not Ford? Either way, they are getting their ducks in a row to file against Ford and we'll see how it goes. He wants to get rid of the car, but can't find another hatchback that he likes.
