oh my bad, I was going off the assumption of coilovers made for the RS to use with the stock top hats. for that give it some time. Ohlins always takes forever to release a new application. I think Vorshlag is working on an MCS setup for the RS, but don't quote me on that. I guess I haven't really been paying attention to RS stuff other than Vorshlag, I didn't realize they're pretty much the only ones that make a coilover for the RS so far

well its a honda, of course it will... although based on the reviews, sounds like the CTR has a better suspension from the factory than the RS

And costs close to twice as much in some places.

I was working directly with MCS on bolt on RS shocks... The fact that they don't exist should tell you how that went. I wasn't about to fund the development out of my pocket and every shop I talked to wasn't really interested in a low volume product.

Ohlins has coilovers on the way and that's what I'd have used had I kept the car and gone STU next year.

As mentioned earlier, JRZ parts bolt right on using coilover springs and OE top hats or any of the OE tophat replacements like Ground Control or Vorshlag.

There are a LOT of coilover options for the RS at low price points... I'd never personally use them.

I'd be willing to bet the CTR sees the same problems with parts availability, potentially even worse since it's even more limited production and a lot of its parts are unique.

The 2018 Focus RS is 5k more expensive but it looks pretty good imo.

I have to say I would probably go with the CTR. I don't need AWD bad enough to pay an extra $5k. Even as ugly as the CTR is.

But it's so ugly, and the interior is stupid.

I would wait to see specs on the new generation STI, and/or wait to see if the Hyundai I30N comes stateside.

Cant wait to see if the new i30 N comes stateside. Never seen markup on a Hyundai before I've bought 2 new at under MSRP. Even the Gen coupes that were on the lots I got my VT's from w/ Track package and all had no silly adjusted market pricing.

Hell I almost bought an Elantra Sport one day, stopped in to get a filter, (Almost 6k below sticker price) and they just hit dealerships that week. The interior was great but the VT is a much more fun looking car especially in Matte. (same engine, better suspension in the Elantra though)

My eye is on the KIA Stinger. Like you said lets see if the dealers start marking up KDM stuff.

Yea that Stinger is going to be a beast, in either Turbo 4 or Twin Turbo V6 Options!! 500hp with a simple tune I'm sure on the TT V6.

TT V6 will land ya around upwards of 40k optioned out from the buzz I've heard. I'm sure it will be stunning inside and out. Hyundai and Kia are certainly not what they used to be.

Back in 03 I wouldn't have looked at any of their models
