I just got through the break-in on my 2017 Focus RS and I still think my 2010 Evo X is more fun. Probably emotional attachment talking but that's how I feel right now. Maybe I need to keep the RS in Sport mode when I drive around...

Compared here to the Golf R MANUAL trans. That said, how does the Focus lose so much time from the 4.6 0-60 time to end up at a 13.7 1/4?

For some reason I am still thinking about one of these...

Keep the 03 evo8 (needs work) and trade in the 2016 ST3 for an RS2 or keep the ST. I had a wreck (not my fault) a while back in my first 2014 ST2 which made me appreciate the crash rating and with one kid and another on the way, having room is important.

I can't decide if it is worth the extra expense. I would have to trade my ST in at a wash and pay full for the RS.

Ford dealers are still trying to get 5K+ markups on the 2017 RS. I am sure they will want even more for the 2018's. The Seattle Ford dealer has 27 of them sitting on the lot

All the dealers here have the same 2-3 RS's they've had on the lot for a while as well, at mark up prices.. Silly. Would totally be a car to consider if it wasn't for that.

Ford lists the RS MSRP as $36,120 http://shop.ford.com/bp/focus/?rstti....ST.~FOCUS.%5D

All 27 at Pierre Ford are above that, some as high as $49,999. I called it 'The' Seattle dealer, because I believe it is the largest. There are a couple other smaller ones too. But most of those only have 2-3 RS.

You do realize that options raise the MSRP, right? The one I linked is listed below MSRP, as are several others..

Well, I picked up the RS2 today. May have been able to haggle them down a little more over labor day but didn't want to miss my window on a Nitrous Blue one. Talked them down 4200 off MSRP. Definitely some deals if you are willing to buy and do some leg work.

I hope so lol. It does not seem to be super wide spread if you think about all of the cars sold but I don't plan to tune it because of what I have read. Unless they offer a "warranty approved" tune from Mountune or FRPP. I would hate to have to shell out for a motor.

I made sure to get a 2017 for that reason as well. They seem to have less instances of the failure.
