MUSTANG IS GONE!!!

time to find an s2k, although I'm kinda considering a 350Z now since s2k's went up like 5k across the board... also Evo is still on the list if I find unicorn that fits my preferences and price, but chances of that are practically nothing

from what i've seen, the 350z costs a LOT more, to go fast, than an S2k. i know people that have run both and there's a reason none of them are in Zs any more.
then there is ease to work on... availability of parts...

i dunno, man. there's also a reason S2ks are going up in price, i suppose.

well either car I get I'm not gonna do a crazy build on. just wheels/tires, brakes, suspension, and seats. the only thing more expensive on a Z are the tires. everything else is either the same or cheaper. and I like that the Z has a broad powerband, not just the last 2k rpm. and I've had a Z before, its not hard to work on.

so overall, with current used prices, the Z will be cheaper for me

and I don't have to get a roll bar if I get the Z

naw, its more like 3-400 for the model Z I want, plus I'll be losing some more with Sparco's and eventually a lighter exhaust, and losing the cats.

I mean I still want an s2k, I just don't think I'll be able to find one I like in my price range anymore

well I'd do the same to both cars. the s2k would be lighter overall, but the Z loses more weight from stock. but it'd still be heavier even than a stock s2k

but with current prices, I can prolly get a Z with all those mods around the price of an s2k with no mods. maybe even less

dude... have you ever heard an s2k with a spoon exhaust in real life? easily the most orgasmic sound I've ever heard out of a car EVAR

I actually don't think Z's sound all that great, at least not inside the car. they sound good outside with the right exhaust

i have. it's okay. kinda just loud, IMO. i had a Spoon N1 exhaust on my Type-R. it was okay.. but just seemed loud.
i love how a 6cyl car sounds at full tilt, though. the vq30, RB26, 2JZ, whatever comes in the M3.. all sound great.

I wanna be around 15 (or less) after a couple mods. Between Z and s2k it'd be oil cooler, at least one seat, and a bbk. The bbk can put me a bit over though. And a roll bar for the s2k including paying someone to install it.

it wasn't really a "package", its just certain trim levels that come with Brembo's. I'd need a Track or Nismo, the other models that come with Brembo's are too heavy and come with a stability control system that isn't fully defeatable, and they're generally more expensive cause leather and crap.

a Nismo would actually be pretty nice, its has a bunch of little bits a pieces that would be nice in a track car and the chassis is stitch welded by Autech. and Brembo's would be a nice touch, I can get Stoptech's Aerorotors for it and be 90% of a BBK for 40% the price. but I'd prolly get a 14" BBK and sell the oem Brembo's and see how much money I can get back.

There's a local one for sale with a salvage title and a 2 tone paintjob. So I need to check it out and see if I can lowball him into my price range
