they are pretty sweet cars, I just happen to have the money for an Evo.

 

I really need to drive one of the 04 SRT-4s now that they have a lsd... I think they are ugly, but I wouldn't exactly call my Evo or my roommate's WRX handsome on the best of days. All 3 share economy car roots, and they are reflected in their visual appeal (or lack thereof). Like the Mustangs, f-bodies, & other pony cars from the 60s, they are low cost performace cars based on mundain chassis... looks are purely secondary.

oh, and my hats off to Mopar for their factory stange kits. I wish Mitsubishi would get off their *** and import the Ralliart kits. I would sign up for a FQ330 kit tomorrow, and come spring I will be going aftermarket if MMC doesn't bring their parts over...

Evo owner's come from a vast array of other cars. If you've got $30k to drop on one, you've probably owned a few other cars. I think its b/c of this that Evo owners, for the most part, are very supportive of other cars, even if they are Sti's, Cobra's, or SRT's.

For me, personally, I didn't buy my car to street race, I bought it to drive. I think the Evo has some of the best driving dynamics on the market and that's why I bought it. I don't really car if car x was a couple tenths faster one day.

SRT is a great car for what it is. It has a very strong engine.

 

how does stating my opinion that i think the neon is fugly make me an immature brand loyal idiot?

i even gave it props that yes, it probably does perform well, i just happen to think they look terrible.

ill admit at first, i didnt even think my evo was goodlooking, but after test driving it and feeling the performance, i really started to like its look. something different, a rally car.


as far as good looking cars go, i still think my WS6 was one of the best looking cars ever made.... however its not practical by any means and the handling is nowhere near the evo. so the evo is a better choice for me.

 

As some one who wanted an evo for years but because of the economy couldn't afford one, I must say that I am thankful for the srt-4. It's no evo but it is still a blast to drive and should be a great base to make even faster in the future. I think it is a real testiment to just how mature everyone is on this board to be able to talk about them without going into the "its just a neon" bashing I see on every other board.

i've sat down n thought about this right, why dun you guys steal an evo 'box, axels, diffs, transfer case and all the necessry bits, and make it AWD ?? anyone done that in America yet ??

Guys over here are making AWD CC Lancer Coupes using old evo/gsr technology into the coupe shell.. and loving every minute of it..

 

DUDE!!!...the Evo8 is a faster car period!...all I have to say is where you guys see 13.2 @ 105 where mr carphoto.net posted the page with the fastests evo's the one that says East side performance is me. All I have to say with a ****ty 60 foot im still seing 13.2 @ 105 all i have is a works ralley reflash. The Srt4 is a good car no complaints about it and def a bang for the buck. Please dont compare it to the Evo8. Diff class all together. I mean I know both cars my friend is Srtgurl. Most of u srt guys prob know her. She is a good friend of mine and she would tell u the same. They are diff cars. If I could do it all over again I would pick the Evo again. Recaro racing seats, momo steering wheel, Enkei wheels....etc...need I say more.

haha is that all???.....lol...u def havnt see people drive that was my first time at the tracks in my life and I saw a 13.2 it was also my first time launching the car and yes i saw a 13.2 i dont think its bad buddy
