I haven't had an issue yet either. I saw some people wedging a tether between the plastic divider to the left of the shifter.
As far as people thinking the car they own is the best, just try to remember these forums 12+ years ago...
Peak Evo...but it IS the BESTY BESTEST CAR EVAR! Seriously, electric van on the horizon to replace work van. Did you guys here about the new Electric Charger/Daytona coming out?
Every person there: "How can the Z have better feel when the Supra wins in every category??!!".
I hate to admit it but I’m a little in that camp myself and I don’t even own a Supra… I’m always talking about I prefer how a car feels over how fast it is, but between the Supra and the Z I just can’t see myself paying 50k for a Z while I can definitely see myself paying 60k for a Supra. For me it’s mostly that the Z is just basically a 20 year old chassis with a new turbo engine… I think I’d rather buy a 350/370Z and do an LS swap on it (can be done real nice for 50k) and I think that’s be more fun than a new Z…
I also gotta admit appearance is a big factor for me between the 2 also. I’ve been coming across the same Supra on the highway on my drive home from work with some aesthetic mods on it and it really amazing… the Z just looks so pedestrian compared to the Supra (IMHO)

Wedging something in there, I wouldn't mind. I'll check that out.
Evo: There's still one or two people on this forum that swear nothing is better, in any way.

I've been trying to explain to those guys that a car can lose every comparison metric, all the numbers, but still have better feel. They can't wrap their minds around it, so I gave up.
LOL
It's funny

yeah, some people have trouble wrapping their mind about that
edit:
have you seen the Throttle House vid on it? They compare it to the Camaro 1LE
We now have proof that the "Z" the GR are one in the same. If your **** end doenst look like this then i just dont know what to say about ya
So, when I saw all of you guys with your Supras, I thought they were kind of neat. Then I started hearing how capable they were and got a little excited for one. I saw a couple in person, and thought "meh", but it was always from the front.
I had one do a rice or fly by on me, on the freeway, and it sounded awesome.
Eventually, the test drive sold me.
All that to say that, in my opinion, from the rear these cars look pretty awesome.
^^^Yeah, they do have a nice rear for sure, especially w/that single sided exhaust. I would like SST exhaust, but in black, & able to modify it w/a Laguna pipe extension when needed
Side booty pic! I actually drove mine today. Mostly because its been out of gas for a month and the E85 station is way closer to work than my house. Now it can go back to hibernation for another 2 weeks until my next race.
So after five track days, the Nankang CR-S started to lose pace, so heat cycling out and the outer edges where getting the crap kicked out of them from Lime Rock, even with -3.7 front camber. Now that I have been through a set, I have to say, these are the best tires I have tracked on so far. Better than the NT01 by a good margin. They do drop off during a session but they don't turn into mush like other super 100tw tires. They just lose a little pace. I actually set my PB at lime rock on these the fourth day. I'd probably easily drop into sub 60secs with a fresh set. I love these things and will continue to use them.
That said, I took the opportunity to finally throw on the Kuhmo V730's that have been sitting in my basement. I'll see how they are this weekend as I have two days at Palmer but will for sure go back to the Nankangs after these. I actually drove to Phil's and bought a fresh set today.
I'm also happy to see that the tires had pretty even wear with my alignment. So happy that I finally bought the tools to do my own alignments. Saving a ton of time and money.
