taking care not to damage your bumper parts/front shell can slow you down a lot all our top pax drivers got front damage. I got some too. The Lotus is probably going to be expensive to fix
i'm interested to get into the GR86/TypeR/D class. The competition is really healthy this year. I was interested in the Supra, I'd like to have a backup automatic car for my wife if and when her car needs service (it would be my daily)
Ah. Our local people give zero ****s. We're all out there to drive LOL
I don't think I'd want to daily a Supra, though. It's too performance oriented.
I guess driver matters. If I could pick any car for autox, it would be Exige or at least an Elise. They seem to be cut out for AX.
Funny i'm putting a pair of g25's on my v6 exige and the last thing i'll be doing is autoX with it. Also due to the fact that in Latin america they go to real tracks and dont dodge cones in a parkinglot.

Funny why? Also, the last thing I'd do with any car is autox. I realize some people love it and that's cool for them. Definitely not for everyone, though.
LOL this guy. Panama, really? In the US a lot of people make good money so we got all sorts of racing for everybody, not just the few 'lucky' ones. Several private, historic and just plain abandoned tracks are also used for autocross.
the cones are the apexes. I really doubt "track-only" guys can hit several apexes within a few seconds. Maybe you get one every 10seconds. The Pikes Peak hill climb competitors are actually autocrossers. This weekend I just raced with the guy who rolled down the mountain 5x and lived to tell about it lol.
my basic mainly-autox evo is banned from lapping with the general public on our local track because it has gone below a certain time. I can only run sanctioned time trials/time attack or with a club member.

Wait. What? Are you the real Dominic Toretto?

ha maybe more like Johnny Tran.
I think certain tracks are "not good enough" for modern set ups and aggressive drivers. let say youre hitting the magic lap time, that would mean youre "feeling" the surface "imperfections" more, uber late braking, jumping curbs, getting off track a bit, and maybe drift a bit too much .... which scares some and lowers the attendance. I actually avoid certain Spec Miata guys, theyre crazy
Day2. A broke down 1986 MB 190e (DTM replica/fake) even went faster
One thing I can tell you is this "track only" guy is now hooked on AutoX. BTW this was on GrandSport speedway, a road course.
Auto-x is a blast! Just finished a weekend of it in the Supra. Finally got to meet @griceiv and got to go for a few laps in the new and improved Berry Mobile. That thing is insane and Marshall is beast behind the wheel.
However, it was quite the weekend. It poured Saturday night and flooded the parking lot, where a bunch of people left their cars for the night. Something like 17 cars went under water....
Local AutoX events are great for getting people into the sport. There's plenty of room to go deep on optimizing skills and setups, or a lot of people use it as a cheap way to do car stuff with friends on the weekends.

wow. I cant even imagine this, I've only lived in the NE and SW USA
