As mentioned in the update post. Something like the porsche you can go to the circuit and drive and not worry about or manage any shortcomings. After years of the evo and how much TLC it requires to keep on the track i am leaning more and more to purchasing something factory built which you can go to the track and race all day and just do basic servicing on and not have that anxiety in your head about something failing. You end up with a hyper sensitivity to every crack and bang and bump which takes away from the experience. maybe im getting old haha
Maybe I am too. I'm enjoying hopping in the supra with a suitcase and helmet, drive to an event, have a fun weekend, drive home vs loading up race car and trailer.

have you bought a mk5 supra also? I looked at a wrecked one for a race car a wee while back. Interesting guys r getting big power etc out of the engine and driveline. Probably different story if u tried to race it though i guess

I've done 18 track days so far this year with my Supra. I haven't had to jack the car up once during an event and all I've had to do at home between events are oil changes, brake fluid changes, and rotating the wheels.

I've been on one set of rotors F/R the whole season and have only gone through one set of front brake pads (Project Mu Club Racers)

Pretty impressive for a car with Porsche GT4 pace on track with a little over $10k in mods. I was looking at GT4's before the Supra and I am glad I made the choice of the Supra. Wayyyyy cheaper to purchase and track.

After 18+ years of owning Evos, I am not missing them at all.

Also reverse.
Eventually, I will trailer the car, but it's really, really nice to not be doing it right now.
All this after I find a trailer that's easy to load, with the winch, and spots for fuel containers LOL
Too little too late?
I have thought about adding a winch to my trailer because I just hate driving the car up on the trailer. However, researching winches has made me aware of the fear of winch cables snapping and seriously hurting people. Is this a non-issue for winching a car up on a trailer if you have a good quality winch? I have no problem going extra high on the capacity of the winch to be 100% safe. I don't want to use a winch though if everyone within 150 feet of my paddock spot is backing away because I'm pulling the car up!

Do you want me to measure my OEM rear pads?

How many times is amazing? The 2 or 3 times I have posted it in this Off-topic thread literally about the Supra or the one time in the thread in motorsports about the other guy selling his evo for a GT4? 3 times out of my 13,753 posts is amazing?

I'm on this forum still because I've been a huge part of it from 2003, contributing a wealth of information for the Evo platform. I also still tune about a dozen evos every couple months.

What have you done, other than creating over 70 threads selling parts?

every thing i see posted about these new supra's is positive. Im yet to come across somebody who has fully set one up as a race car but very curious to look into it.

I have heard they have terrible bump steer which is easily corrected with a subframe and geometry kit.

All of the unpleasantness of that went away with rear toe and traction arms and a good alignment. I see no need for a new subframe.

A couple tracks I go to have some bad bumps mid high speed corners and the car is solid.

In fact, my car is so stable I am looking to loosen it up a little bit now that I am fully used to the car.

You must be very unhappy with your life, servicing a specific car daily you have no interest in anymore, don't even miss owning just because its all you know since 2003, or maybe you never knew what you were doing with the evo platform. This unhappiness reflects in your comments. Maybe it's time to move onto something you know better than cars.

Oh man, you figured me out! BRB, going to take up basket weaving.

In all seriousness, you know very little about me and are making some very sweeping assumptions and my track record proves it all wrong. I can smell the ignorance from here. I have now put you on my very short ignore list. BYEEEE!

The Supra GT4 is pretty race car. ;P

It is indeed! 190k USD is a bit steep however haha. New prices are always inflated on GT4 cars maybe in a year or 2 when some used ones pop up could be good buying definitely if they are quite restricted for BoP
