@RazorLab How hard are you tracking it? Are you at 100% for 10 - 20 laps or just casual track days? and have you had any issues or hit any limits with the car e.g brake fade etc?
have you bought a mk5 supra also? I looked at a wrecked one for a race car a wee while back. Interesting guys r getting big power etc out of the engine and driveline. Probably different story if u tried to race it though i guess
I did. The car is really quick, stock. I won't be doing any power mods or tuning on track. I did pick up a piggyback that I'll use to have fun around town.
I was on the fence on buying one until the test drive. That 100% sold me. Torque is always so much fun.
I have thought about adding a winch to my trailer because I just hate driving the car up on the trailer. However, researching winches has made me aware of the fear of winch cables snapping and seriously hurting people. Is this a non-issue for winching a car up on a trailer if you have a good quality winch? I have no problem going extra high on the capacity of the winch to be 100% safe. I don't want to use a winch though if everyone within 150 feet of my paddock spot is backing away because I'm pulling the car up!
I've never seen a cable snap. They last forever unless abused. I have to say the back window of my SUV would be toast lolI heart my winch. Best thing I could have done for that trailer. I'm not a fan of working the clutch to drive up aaaaand I wouldn't be able to, anyway, if the car breaks.

I just need to get to mine and see if they are the same as what I was sent. I can't believe after all this time I can't find definite information on which brakes I have.

Depends on the day/crowd but overall I usually stay out all 20 mins of each session as I recently moved and all the East Coast tracks are new to me. So I have been maximizing seat time in order to learn them.
Here are the stats since March of this year for the car:
Haven't had any issues so far. I use Endless RF650 brake fluid and Project Mu Club Racer pads and I haven't experienced fade yet. Some of the tracks are pretty brake heavy. Poconos uses part of the Nascar oval so I was hitting 142 mph and braking down to 60 every lap.
I have zero power mods on the car. I have found I can beat on the car all day long with zero issues. Coolant and oil temps barely move. They did a great job on cooling. That said, once you up the boost, the car has a hard time managing MAT as the intercooler isn't huge and integrated into the intake manifold (air to liquid). It will be okay for a few laps but then the car starts pulling timing and boost. At some point I will add power. You need to upgrade the intake manifold to do so and all the current offerings are larger intercooler cores welded into billet intake manifolds and cost $3500-$4000.
For now the car is super consistent on stock power, lap after lap.
Honestly the car is pretty darn fast with stock power on track. This is the first car I have owned in over twenty years that I haven't tuned within a couple months of ownership, if that tells you something.

Those are solid results. 17 hours of track driving and no issues is impressive. Can you compare lap times to anything e.g a GT4 circuit car time or GT3 cup car times etc? Would be good to get an idea of its relative pace.
Sounds like you could almost do a few suspension tweaks. bolt slicks on and throw a cage in it and go for serious racing

Well, since I have limited time on these East Coast tracks, the car is still faster than me. The track that I have the most seat time on is Lime Rock, but even then I've only been there about six times now. I am right on the cusp of hitting a sub 60 sec lap time there which is fast for a street car. I track with another Supra owner that is about three seconds faster than me but he also has aero and it's a 2021 with 40whp more power. He is faster than Porsche GT4's. I do think my supra as it sits has another 2 secs in it on that track. My goal is to hit a sub 60 before the year is up. I have two more events, wish me luck! As you can see, I am soooo close! 58-59 is standard pace for a well driven Porsche GT4 there.
The GT3 cup cars do mid to low 50 secs.

Just to level set here, these are the current mods on the car:
2020 with 330whp (stock power, 21+ has 370whp stock) MCS 2WAY NR Coilovers 550lb front / 500lb rear
Alignment: -3.7 camber front / -2.4 camber rear / 0 toe front / .22 total toe-in rear
SPL LCA and Toe arms front
SPL Traction and Toe arms rear
Either 275/35/18 Kumho V730 200tw tires or 275/40/18 Nankang CR-S 200tw tires (Lime Rock times above where on Nankang)
Enkei GTC02 18x10.5 wheels
Project Mu Club Racer brake pads F/R
Endless RF650 brake fluid
I suspect the GT4 version is running an S58 engine in it rather than the B58. Wonder what transmission they used. Assume it would be the same as the M3/4
It's not, it's the B58. You can see it in the photos I posted above. S58 has a different intake manifold, valve cover and uses twin turbos. Same ZF transmission but with only seven speeds instead of eight. They did change the rear diff though. (OEM Supra uses the F8X M diff)
Kinda curious what the bottleneck is right now for over 1200whp is? It seems like most people slap on 800-1000hp turbos and use nitrous like for some reason they can't go bigger?
I've been trying to find a good set of track wheels. I'd like something light and around $450 per wheel. I tried to copy the GT4, but OZ doesn't seem to sell those particular wheels.
I guess I'll go with another set of Axis....
