I'm just being jealous. ONE track day. My track time is going to be seriously limited until I sell the evo.

Btw I saw your post about stock cat on the Supra forum. My Supra has 19 track hours on it now with the stock cat. I’ll take some photos of its condition once I pull it off the car this winter.

Also, I’m just waiting for the Black Friday sale to grab my aero 😎
Definitely let me know! I would much rather be running the stock down pipe. Thanks dude!

Did they say if the riv-nuts pulled through or the bolts just rattled out? My bet is that they didnt install the riv-nuts right.

Maybe we should change this to "Bryans adventures in RWD..."

Well, not like it would really be okay to start another Supra thread on an Evo forum

While this splitter was very simple to install, it took forever. I also know I'm getting old when every part of my body hurts the day after haha. Ohh finally did the swaybar too since I was already halfway there.

So what made it take forever? Those hinge mount things?

The hinge mounts werent too big of a pain. It was more of there being 1000 nuts and bolts. The template they supply kind of sucks too so I had the splitter on and off a few times to make sure I got the spots right for the riv-nuts. It was a good thing I did check cause their template was off about a 1/2". Then compressing 10 riv-nuts took forever since there was not enough room for me to get my real tool in there. Its a very straight forward install, just a lot of on and off to verify everything is in the correct spot.

I'm convinced that 80% of car DIY work goes this way: The main steps are easy in theory, but first-time learning curve, little complications everywhere, and extra attention to detail add up to taking 5X longer than whatever the forum folks said it would take.

Or at least that's what I tell myself every time I read an EvoM post from someone claiming they swapped their alternator in 15 minutes.

I didnt even look to see what people said it should take to install. I think most Supra people would send something like this to a shop. So I dont know if I was quicker or slower than most. Most likely slower because I like to triple check things before I cut permanent holes in the car. Still, it took me a good 4-5 hours.
