@kaj , I also took photos of my OEM cat for you that had 20 track days run through it. Looks perfect still!
I may have worked for a Japanese car manufacturer and I've heard they test their engines at peak torque and peak RPM while under WOT for hundreds of hours on an engine dyno to verify powertrain durability. I'm not surprised the cats survived.

doesn't really guarantee anything, melting cats on evo's with track use was a pretty common thing. I've melted a cat on a stock power 350Z with track use... fried of mine just melted a cat on his Z06 a couple months ago with track use...

Anything from this decade? From what I have seen, the OEM cats on these more modern performance cars are night and day better.

Yeah, wasn't there a recall on the evo 9's to reflash the ecu so the cat wouldn't melt in hard driving? Lol

It's telling when one of the most popular threads on this forum is about a Toyota Supra

So, with the transmission tuning app: I just pay for the app and connect it to an OBD2 dongle, and More or less hit a program button?

For $400, I'm really curious to try it.

Yea, it's basically a flash. You just select what stage you want.

Let me know how it goes. I haven't done it yet on mine. My Supra is currently up in the air and half apart.

I flashed my trans already. Such a great upgrade even though it may seem like its not much. Biggest thing for me is that the car now shifts instantly when you hit the paddle. 1-2 there was always a big delay. No more shift farts when WOT either cause it really does shift that fast now. You guys should enjoy it.

Bummer you lose the shift noises, I like those. But faster shifts are good. I still think oem is plenty fast.

Are you running Stage 3?

I mean it still farts if you shift early or not at WOT so they arent completely gone. I am on stage 3. Going to see how it does in auto mode at my next race since it says its a lot more aggressive map.
