Football Talkin Thread...
No one will be running up the score against the patriots. People keep spouting this nonsense because the retards on sports center said so. The reason it won't happen is because there is no team they play with a talent differential on offense to the patriots defense. In order to run up the score, you'd have to score at will and dominate their offense. No team they play is complete enough to do that.

You can see in the quote above yours I have to be on the lookout for "Karma" apparently it's not just everyone in the universe that hates the Pats, It's also a spiritual movement and the "Football Gods" I have to look out for. I think Vince Lombardi would be just fine with scoring the most points on your opponent that you can.
BTW Exciting News, You have the best quote in your sig on this site... I often take inspiration from The Dude.

Do a search for it. You'll see where my reference to the "football gods" comes from. I still stand by my statement that Cassell is not the answer......he just has to not lose games. Week 6 is his first test and the next week against Denver at home would be just as much, if not more so, a tougher test......
Question: How can Cassel be considered a success filling in for the most successful QB in the leauge?
Well, That's a pretty good answer to me. Possibly good enough to get us in the PO's. It's the best I can hope for.
There is no answer to "How do you replace Tom Brady" It's just not feasable, So a new set of reasonable expectations need to be made for the current situation. We are going to lose games, Can we win 9???
It would be remarkable if the Pats could make the PO's after losing their starting QB in the first Quarter of the season= The Goal

Well obviously Belichick doesn't have faith in Cassel's abilities because he certainly wasn't throwing downfield after being down down 21-6 at the half.
The Pats got taken out to the woodshed today by the Dolphins. Would you agree that they were owed some payback from last year when NE ran up the score on them? Oh, and you're right, the Pats ARE getting paid to get their asses kicked and should just suck it up, whether they lose by 1pt or 25pts, as they did today.......
I agree w/ you in thinking they don't think they'll make the playoffs. The main piece of the puzzle is missing. Tom Brady has always been the key to the success of the Pats. The funny thing is is that the fair weather fans will abandon the team as usual....the mad exodus at the end of the 3rd quarter shows that!!!

What a wonderful football day!! Ravens won, Bengals lost, Steelers lost, etc, etc. Couldn't have been better! Hopefully Flacco will learn from his rookie mistakes and get even better. #1 defense is back!!!!!

2nd. Yeah, we got our asses kicked. Do I think it's payback...NO It's playing the game as hard as you can, They played better.
As I said we're going to lose games....If the defense does'nt come to play then we'll get blown out as evident from Sunday.
"as usual....the mad exodus at the end of the 3rd quarter shows that!!!"
And as far as this statement...Must be usual for you... That's the first time that's happened in Foxboro in YEARS!!! I'd say it was a pretty good run.
Edit*** Good W for the Ravens
