Let's see YOUR track Evo
Hello all.
I bought my 2012 Evo X GSR new towards the end of 2012. It's my first Japanese car and up to the time I test drove it I thought all Asain cars were Camry type cars and they don't know performance. Once I drove the Evo everything changed. I had to have it and had to track it someday.
I did my first track day a few months ago at Big Willow and have since done 2 more there. Now I'm hooked. This car is my daily driver as well but my goal is to set it up for the track and live with it on the street.
I have added a lot of parts in this last few weeks so I'll try and list them. Engine is unchanged. I'm running E85 and about 397HP although I did recently order a MAP EF3 turbo and AMS DP.
I tracked with BC coils, Rear Sway, RCK, XXR wheels, Bride reps, Schroth Profi II 6 point harness, 4 point bolt in roll bar and stop tech pads.
Now for what I have added this last week
Drivetrain:
TWM steel shift cage
Works short shifter
AMS shift bushings
Competition Twin disk clutch (waiting for it to arrive)
All new solid Torque Solution trans and diff bushing
AMS engine bushings (bushings to be installed when clutch arrives)
Chassis
Ohlins coilovers 10k front 12k rear
Whiteline front sway bar (already had rear)
Whiteline control arm bushings.
Brakes
Girodisk two piece rotors in all four.
AMS steel braided lines
Raybestos ST43 pads on all four
Motul 600 brake fluid
Wheels & Tires
Advans RSII 18x10 25 offset
Yokahamas AD08r 18 265/35 15
Aero
Aeromotions rear wing
Forcewerks side splitters
Inside
Cobra Suzuka seats
Schroth 6 point Harness
Autopower roll bar
SRP pedals
Removed rear seat installed Beatrush divider
OMP steering wheel.
Just bought most if this stuff the last two weeks. Haven't had a chance to go to the track. As soon as the clutch, turbo and downpipe are installed I will be going. Hopefully by the middle to end of June.
Future mods include front aero, AIM Pista digital dash, switch to R compound once I get more practice on the street tires, track 2 to 4 times per month.

Do you run a surge tank?
Mine had issues at 1/2 full. Turbo was starving on hard left handers.
RJones nice run
That looks like a fun fast course and congrats in 2nd in PAX!!
We had a Memorial Day Utah Region Event earlier this week were I was able to place the fastest Raw time of the day and 1st for SM class. I managed to do it with 3 additional passengers too! Had Family in town so took them for some fun ride along's.
A fun run with my little brothers in the back seat having 4 passengers

That was too funny. Those little guys in the back flailing around
. Great job for sure giving everyone something to remember This is my only run I did all day by my self showing the course from the outside. It was a fun run end of the day so didn't count, but made for some good practice/ fun drifting

Thank you for sharing...that put a BIG smile on my face!
I get a good laugh every time I watch it as well
Haven't posted since the first race this year. Here are some of my favorite pics throughout the season. Regional ST2 championship is guaranteed at this point, I wish there would have been more competitors in class though. I will be switching classes next year, up or down, not sure yet.
Round 2 rain race was fun, qualified 4th overall in front of a ton of faster cars, AWD baby.

Round 3

Round 4

Had a bit of a change of pace for Round 5. I got to guest drive this beauty, and will be part of the 3 driver team for endurance racing moving forward!

Finally got my Meuller fg covers.
Building front splitter so new pictures should be up later on. Funny to think I totaled this car less than 6 months ago... and now it's sitting widebody with 285/35/18 slicks. haha
