Tow Rigs, What do you have/use?
Wow some seriously good rigs in this thread!!
I will post up some pictures shortly, but my tow rig is a 2015 Nissan Navara NP300 ST Manual. Because my evo is so wide, it will not fit on a conventional trailer so I have ordered a Brian James trailer. It is an 'over the wheels' design with 13" wheels (to keep deck height low) & hydraulic tilt.
Will get some photos up soonish.

With 295s my car fits with about 4" on each side clearance so even 2" wider with 315s I wouldn't have an issue getting on. Not sure why you'd think you wouldn't fit unless your worried about margin.
I towed with it be for I added the SC. It did ok for a 4.0 V6. After the SC and the other
Mods it's a night and day difference. It has more then enough power now.
installing a Titan 65gal fuel tank in the tow rig. we were too close to running out of fuel in the middle of the night going to the last race.
finally getting around to installing the lights on this truck. should help when running 85mph across the desert at 2am trying to get home for work the next day!

I'm not totally opposed to them. My pipe dream is to make an aluminum flat bed that has fold down sides so I can haul 2-3 snowmobiles on it. It will probably never happen but I didn't want to invest in the bed tank then regret it.
Based purely on functionality the midship doesn't have any downside. Cost is a different story though ... Haha

The problem with in bed tanks is you leave your self open to be stopped and having you tank sipped by DOT or highway patrol to check for OHV diesel fuel (dyed red). Meathooker prob doesn't run red-dye, so it wouldn't be an issue if they checked. But it's the hassle of being stopped I would want to avoid.

im a city slicker so i dont run red fuel but i know some guys that may or may not and they like the big tank so they can go on trips without refueling.
reminder - check your wheel bearings!
i havent checked mine for a couple years and paid the price in the middle of nowhere this weekend:

les schwab wasted a day only to say they would need a week to round up the parts and fix it. so we walked two doors down to NAPA who ended up having every bearing, race, and seal we needed. then a trip to ACE to purchase a dremel to remove the chewed up race and we were off.
