Tow Rigs, What do you have/use?
im pretty careful with tongue weight now. loaded the car wrong the first few times and the trailer sway pretty bad. i put a lot of heavy stuff in the car, including 5 jugs of fuel. and can still roll the car back some more. coming home, the fuel jugs in the car and in front would be empty.
i took 8 jugs of fuel with me to VIR last year for Nat event. car broke on friday, so i was leaving. tried to give away all the e85 but there was only one other guy there that ran e85 but he had no room to take more. his truck was flex fuel, so he took two jugs. i wanted to dump the rest instead of taking it home, 7 hours drive over some pretty steep mountains.

Do you run a weight distribution hitch? I swear by it after using it the first time a couple years ago. I did all the measuring based setup then on my first trip with a little bit of sway I moved the car forward 2" (I always measure to a set stop for the car to be consistent) and it was rock solid.
That was in my 08 Jeep GC diesel pulling ~5500lbs fully crammed full of gear from Portland to Nebraska. Once I made the adjustment we cruised through the rockies and all of montana at 80 and it was nothing. I did the jerk test to try and incite sway and it just didn't care.
Now have the lightest bars I can get for the Touareg cause they don't technically support Load dist even though everyone uses it. It tows just a stable with all the exact same settings. We put about 2500miles of towing last year and its all been great.

Just wanted to provide a quick update. Ordered my econotrailer 3/22, just got a call that its done and ready for delivery 3/28. Not bad, could of had it delivered Saturday but I wont be around so I wont have it until the 4/9.
So far the experience has been good.

'Jonno99', you read too many tabloids! Were not all like that. Not a fair assessment! Things can be said about all countries...Relax mate!

wasnt planning on it but i traded in the f450 for an f350 single wheel. wasnt planning on driving around with the rzr on top any more so it seemed fitting to get a truck with better gear ratios for freeway speed towing. the bumper in power was an added bonus
sticking with the same trailer as before - 30' charmac
