that may have been for the bottom. gonna try cabot at the top and a rubberized undercoating at the bottom
He says the top, and as a bonus, would be a grippy surface, if wet, and no worries if the car drips any fluids. I'd rather not seal the top of the wood, if it's getting wet from the bottom. Seems like a bad idea.

) gas cans that i'd love to leave out of the car and on the trailer, in front of the evo.
any clever ideas as far as tying them down so they dont move for the ride? I could loop a strap through all four handles as part of the tie down process, but other than that, not too sure how to secure

I use tiedowns to secure and run a cable through everything, with a padlock, so they don't develop legs.
I do that for the generator but not the gas cans. Takes too long lol. I'd build a tray out of wood Kyoo that forms like the expensive alum ones do, rattle can black or whatever color your trailer is and go. Others just put them neatly in the trunk of the tow'd car and leave it cracked ever so slightly with obvious tie downs.
I'm pretty sure it takes me about 30 seconds to tie and lock them down Overkill, maybe. But the idea of them moving around and/or getting stolen .. meh

yea that's just gonna be my simple solution for now - one or two straps to strap them together, and one security cable (like for a bike) to lock them through the trailer hoops and to the trailer itself. shouldn't have too much issue there.
a buddy of mine offered to build a storage thing for these and like a set of tires - probably will do that at some point, but not quite yet.
I mounted these fuel jug racks on my trailer last fall but haven’t used them yet. Hopefully, they are strong enough. I made aluminum L brackets to support them from the bottom and am working on additional 90 degree brackets mounting them to the trailer deck as well. I tried to stick with aluminum construction to minimize weight.
well the 5.7 in the sequoia developed the death clack, meaning timing chains stretched/tensioner gone bad. car's been sitting in the shop for 2 weeks now as they replace all the chains guides tensioners etc. they told me it'd be done by today at the latest, so i've gotten ****ed over here as i need to figure out new plans to drive to NCM this weekend. likely means just driving the evo down

Dang, that sucks. The 5.7 in the one I had is still purring like a lion, guy runs a business just down the road from me so I see it often. 200k+ on it by now I'd think. Whats the service interval on those supposed to be? If you lived close by I'd rent ya one of mine. Got a Warlock Hemi Ram and my personal Duramax up for sale now. Picked up a duelly unicorn I'm detailing now. 2011 gmc crew long bed 35 with only 29k miles on it.
But if you look Enterprise and such rent out 3/4 ton work trucks. Won't be the most comfortable ride but it may suit you.

the chains are supposedly life of engine, but everything stretches with time. Usually it's supposed to be the tensioner itself only, but they looked at everything while they were in there and everything stretched.
Unfortunately for me, it's quite the ordeal to get in there and do all of that.

Total unicorn. 29k miles, like new. I prefer the LMM's but I can delete the LML's still. Everything you see here came with it. Exhaust came in today, Airdog yesterday, tune won't get here till Wed cause had to order from Canada. Sh*t's getting real hard to come by. There was a super clean, like this one, F350, 2017, SRW, Platinum, 90k miles at the auction yesterday - went for 47k I think. I got this one for 45, had to drive up to nashville for it.
Luckily the years voided this one (just) so it's perfect to do "longevity" mods now. Having owned mine since 60k and now it has 161k I can safely say I would have done it WAY sooner had I known the sheer stupidity of the emissions designs then. Exhaust I had to get from dpfdeleteshop dot com. The tune came from Dirty Diesel customs which brokers for Coopers Custom Solutions which seems to be the top dog in CA currently. My LMM has DMaxTuner aka Calibrated Power which is the best sleeper truck I've ever owned, installed that in 2010. However they refuse (naturally) to do any delete tunes anymore as has all major US brands, esp with the current administration. My advice, get it now boys because availability will disappear and prices will only sky rocket.
