I dunno how you guys do it. I absolutely refuse to make a tow rig into another project.
I don't even wash mine. It has one job. Doesn't need to be clean to do it.

They're all toys. And you spend more time in your Tow rig than you do in your race car if you hit distance events.

And if you spent "enough" on it to begin with, you kinda gotta look after it. Forced upgrades happen even on lawnmowers

I wanted a tow rig that could jump sand dunes from the factory and also go camping in the mountains with so my options were limited. No ragrets. But I also don't drive it a whole ton, that's why I've got a $3k Honda Fit for around town use lol

Yeah. I'm good with directing my income to something I use more than four times per year.
All it needs is oil, tires, brakes, and gas.

05 GMC Sierra crew cab long bed. I originally bought it to tow heavy equipment every so often but now it's primary purpose is daily commuter and race car tow rig.

I didn't intend for it to become another money pit but alas it is what it is....

Literally this! I even ruined my LS7 C6Z by putting a supercharger on it which in hindsight was actually pretty stupid :O

I drive my truck more than anything else because it's nice to be able to have all your **** in it and pretty much be prepared for anything at any given time.

I also don't worry about a zombie apocalypse. :P

I have actually been using mine quite a bit to take my dogs on errands. They love it.

Well too rich for my blood. Auction on this trailer went up 30k in a day lol. Check it out, and oh look, it's in Portland :P

Still a hell of a deal, got the build sheet, 200k new. Almost picked up a 2020 Ram 35 to pull it with but alas 150k is a little outside my budget lol. However if any of you want it or know someone who wants to bid on it who has cash let me know asap.

The ATC trailers definitely have my eye. The new 5th wheel versions are a bit spendy but could be perfect except needing to upgrade the truck also.

I love RVs but they are definitely a house on wheels with suspect reliability. A new truck still has new truck build in the bajillions reliability and ease to work on factor.
