Finally I can start towing with confidence. It's a 3.5 ecoboost with the 10 speed but they had it listed as the n/a 3.5 6 speed. It's pretty sparsely optioned but I'm only concerned with towing ability and something I can use as an occasional daily without concern. Now I just need to find a proper trailer...
This looks similar to the kneeling Futura aluminum trailers, but American-made. Anyone know anything about them or the reputation of this company? Yes, they are expensive, but the loading/unloading convenience factor is huge.

I keep looking at those because how nice it would be, but I keep being warned away due to reliability and maintenance concerns from current owners.
they tell me to at least get one of the trailers with airbags because most of the parts are normal "trailer "parts. The ones with the cantilevers/cables/etc. are hard to find parts for and they're quite pricey. not a big deal, except they need regular maintenance and replaced parts. This is all per owners I've talked to, I have no personal experience first or second hand.
I'm usually one to take chances, but, damn, that's an expensive gamble.
that being said, they say when the trailers are working properly, they are amazing.
Timpte is a huge manufacturer for OTR trailers. The best thing about them is they don't use welds anywhere. Aluminum trailer welds always crack after some amount of time but that's a non issue with rivets.
I was looking at getting one of those but for the price I could get an enclosed so I talked myself out of it.
I like the concept but the maintenance and reliability issues would kill it for me. My old open aluminum was dead reliable with minimal maintenance. Change tires after 5-6 years, repack bearings ~3years. Literally that was it.

That was the final nail in the coffin for me, too.
all trailers are stupid expensive right now, so I'm 100% staying with my pain-in-the-***- to-load steel flattie
My new 26' intech should be done in 3-4 weeks hopefully. Kinda like Dallas's with the uber large escape door...finally. But also with a tag style bathroom up front. I got lucky and snagged one before the price hike. ATC has changed their policy so now they only give pricing AFTER the trailer is done (a year later) in attempt to recoop costs which is loosing them dealers. Can't make a custom trailer and tell the customer last minute oh wait it's 20k more, sorry.
I also have an alum wood deck 18' - for these style it's far better to get the good RaceRamp's to accommodate for loading angles rather then spend thousands more on a trailer that complicates it or breaks and stays "down".
Man did we go back and forth on that. At the end of the day my wife isn't very outdoor-sey and we don't have kids so I knew a 150k used Super C wasn't going to be used enough to justify. This one is right at 7 shipped, 12k max. One of these days Ima turn all ya'll into diesel owners
For sure. If its mostly just you at the track thats pretty good. My wife and kid love being at the track and going camping so the Super C is the do-all family rig for us.
Wife is also thinking of skipping Super C and doing ATC 5th wheel toy hauler but would require dually.
I looked at those but the garage section leaves a lot to be desired for what we do. Get in and out without opening the escape door a few times and you'll quickly realize all those couches, tables, and such are literally in the way lol. That and the approach height is pretty insane too. But duelly I got you covered, I have 2 duramax's duelly's with 30k miles on the lot now.

You can add an escape door to the toy haulers now. My BFF has a bumper pull 28xx ATC toy hauler and it fits an Evo, FD, and Syclone for sure but would be much more comfortable winching up in to the trailer than driving it. But race ramps with the rear door has been good enough so far. I think he also raises the electric jack up front all the way too just for more lift.
Edit: PS: I dont really like Chevy Trucks. Wheel wells shouldnt be square

Pffft last I checked your Evo's wells weren't exactly the sexiest either but you bought the car for the engine and drivetrain LoL But if you want a Powerchoke I suppose I can hook you up at the Portland auction lol.
Will an F150 comfortably tow a 26' enclosed trailer? I always assumed that a 3/4 ton would be in order from a stability standpoint if I ever got an enclosed trailer.
With the 3.5 Eco I think it's at 11k now for the new models? (if you can find one). My 24' steel weighed 4300 empty, figure 4400 for a 26 with front cabinets and high end finishing. 3900 for an Aluminum-ish. With a 3/4 or 1/2 ton the sway/load bars work wonders on making the ride smooth. But the brakes, rear suspension, torque, etc of a 3/4 is just that much more capable of doing the job. Plus the re-sale value right now is insane.
