Interesting. I would really like better headlights on the Sequoia, I feel mine don't work very well at all. Do you have a link to the exact ones that you used?
I'm swapping to Holley brand LEDs to my charger. Headlights from the '60s or even worse than a Sequoia. 😂 But barely...
I'm getting older, so I want better lighting for both vehicles.
As for the race ramps, I highly recommend them. I've done 2x6s, metal ramps, and they all sucked. My race ramps have an 8-in rise and are almost 6 ft long. I can pick each one up with one hand. They pretty much weigh nothing and are almost indestructible.
You won't regret them.
Apologies for all the typos. I use voice to text and it's pretty bad.

yea a little more detail - i got the morimoto led's thinking they had a closer to stock look, and morimoto is a reputable brand. The light output was AWFUL, reflector glare 10ft up each side, no clean clear cutoff, so I went with this: https://alpharexusa.com/product/07-1...r-duplicate-1/
not sure what color that shows, but I got mine in jet black, which is like a chrome black housing. If Morimoto can't get a reflector LED right, then aftermarket LEDs just need projectors, which the alpharex had. very, very happy with the light output and clean cutoffs. may have to do the fogs now...

Driving the rear wheels of the tow rig onto a set of steel mechanics ramps helps with approach angle.....a TON.

yup i have a pair of old model rhino ramps in the SUV (tested with SUV, not SUV+trailer) but I dont think its needed for this trailer tho (plus I dont know how the air spring system would handle it). I need to smoothen the steps. My clutch is not liking them. Thinking of getting a electric winch set up on the hitch

Yall just ball too hard. I use 2 - 2x8s with a bevel cut and stagger then screwed together to extent my ramps. Durable and cheap.

I need the 2x8s mainly to clear the wheel stop at the front of the trailer. it needs a true 2" lift with engine bottom cover installed, about 24" long. I will have to visit uhaul a few times to test out my wood cuts lol. i also need to figure out strapping. the trailer i got had a broken wheel strap and when they put a new one somehow it came lose from the ratchet (was towing a different car). i have some t hooks and saw 4 d rings on the rental but I haven't tried. I can also use my towloops i guess
i need to address the trailer bulb warnings too AFTER making the electrical hook up functional lol.

how many guys does it take to push non-running car up these trailers? the hitch mounted winch is a good 'minimum' investment right??

I love my winch. Tilt trailer, so had to mount onto the platform section (makes tilting a slight challenge).

does that thing have brakes? which winch is that? unfortunately I've given up relocating to a more spacious property so I dont think I'll ever own my own trailer. or a truck. a local model3 owner offered for me to rent his awesome aluminum lowering trailer.but I'm kinda set on getting to know these cheap uhaul rental trailers.

Yes, has brakes. I think trailers have to, no? Winch and receiver are from Harbor Freight. 9000lb capacity on the winch. Then I got a mount for it to fit into the receiver.

I purchased a 24' enclosed trailer a few months back. 5K axles , V nose , D rings were standard. Installed some E trak . I went with a 7'6" trailer to avoid hitting my head on the door openings and have a longer rear door ramp. Still needed race ramps.
The extra height makes it harder to pull and it will move around alot with a small truck or without a weight distribution hitch.
I towed the empty trailer back from Georgia without a weight distribution hitch and a borrowed short wheelbase F250. It was a handful at 62mph .
Ordered an Anderson hitch and it was much better even on that F250 . Unlike some other hitches, its easy to adjust and you can back up or go over some terrain without risks.

Luckily , My brother has an F450 that I can borrow. They ride a little stiffer then a 150/250/350 but can haul anything . Set the cruise on 68-74mph and mileage was around 10-11mpg. Went to the last Tx2k event at Houston raceway. They are tearing the track down.

Also hauled the Valley Fever Streamliner from Arizona to Florida. Its getting a close ratio Liberty transmission. At this time , its the fastest 2jz powered vehicle on the planet. Should go 400+ after a few tweaks.

F450, long wheelbase open trailer hauls very well . 14-15mpg 65-74mph

I loved my duelly but I'm selling it to go back to a shorter wheel base 2500 with the aforementioned helpers. The duelly was just expensive to keep around for occasional towing and not the friendliest for daily use in the city. It's up for sale if anyone ya'll know is interested in THE LmL duelly. https://cbmautosales.com/inventory/4...-Sierra%203500
