I edited my post for clarity. Are SUVs more expensive to register, in Washington, than trucks?
In certain counties we have to pay a regional transit authority tax, which is huge. trucks over 6,000 lbs are exempt, our SUV wasn't
and the fee is calculated on the "value" of the vehicle.... as determined by the fee collectors, lol

Ours is also by value, allegedly, though I have a really old car that is still basically $200 a year to register lol
So, I guess we have a minimum.
Trucks and SUVs get hit harder because of their weight. I do not know why it is more expensive for us to register trucks than SUVs.
Maybe to get some extra cash from all the people that have to use them for work. Not sure
does anyone feel like their truck brake pedal is a little too soft? i'm using powerstop z36's, have ss lines, and have freshly flushed fluid. not much difference between new and old fluid in terms of feel but the ss lines did help a little

see if you can adjust the push rod for the master cylinder. also see if you have that accordion thing and is giving you some false brake pressure. i know MBs got them, I can hear air gushing in and out

Random thought, I was driving to Nats in 2019 and on the way traveling downhill in the RV with car trailer a deer ran right in front of me. All I could do was anchor the brakes engaging full ABS and try to steer a bit towards his butt. Luckily is just BARELY missed it.
After that, the brake pedal never felt more firm. My guess is there was some air in the ABS pump that got pushed through.

i'm not sure that's it. i took a look, didn't really see anything

definitely worth trying. i'm just wondering if it "should" feel like this because it's a 6,000lb truck, or if it should feel pretty firm. i'm always of the opinion that brakes, without any issues, should feel pretty firm.
oh yeah. check your brake lines coming out of the master cylinder...if you have lines going up then down, those need special attention to bleed. I dont own a power bleeder so my one-man method is a long hose hung higher than the said brake line.
I could use a bit more bite from my OEM pads, especially for towing. unfortunately, those "towing brake pads" i just heard about aren't available for my SUV
After looking at goosenecks off and on for 12 years I finally decided to pull the trigger.
whenever we take two cars to a race we have to take two trucks and trailers. A big part of racing is hanging out with your homies for the road trip as we often spend more time driving that actually racing.
this will fit two cars, spares tires, and a golf kart.
its a 2022 full aluminum with disc brakes, aluminum floor, and thicker skin.
It had minimal lights and no ac.
we added a lot of lights, welded in provisions for dual ac, spray foamed the roof, skinned the roof, mounting a harbor freight winch up front, tool box, made some cabinets etc. should have it wrapped up next month
