Changing the rear sway bar is quite easy. It's worth exploring some of the adjustable rear sway bar options.
This - the rear diff doesn't create neutral steady state cornering/better turn in - it's just for corner exit. still need a solid suspension set up for the rest of the handling bit.

i'm on 8/10 right now, haven't even raced yet but i know i'm gonna want to move to 10/12 at some point

I do like Godzilla's CF wing. It has custom endplates made from CF with a birch wood core, super light and stiff material.

Godzilla definitely had a statement to make. Pretty sure he just dominated the fendered field by a wide margin. Sticker hoosiers, cranked up the boost (Im guessing), and actually launched it.

I drove some solid lines and found a few more 1/10ths today but that didnt stand once the pressure was put on. Was still fun to make an honest man out of Mr.Sandbaggin

Ill happily take my two second place tires behind him from tour/pro.

It was kind of funny how it worked out for ASP though... the guy that really wanted me to fill the class (Ryan) ended up getting 3rd, so he didn't get his contingency... and the guy that got second didn't even sign up for contingency so no one got it. I felt kinda bad for Ryan though... would have made a pretty cool bday present if he got a top 2 spot.

my car is officially out of STU spec now... so unfortunately I won't have the pleasure of racing with you guys next time either... unless I find someone to co-drive with.
Huge thanks goes out to this guy, Joey Jones, for coming out. Bringing a knife to a gun fight (only car on street tires, stock springs, nearly full weight X MR), and just coming out to have good time and help fill a class.

As the recipient of that tire, I definitely owe you. Beer, food, co-drive.. you name it

I'm about to order a set of FA 500s with swift springs. The car will be on 245 ZIIs. Power wise it will have some bolt ons and a tune. I'm not planning on changing sway bars or stripping any weight.
If you have a 2003 with an RS front diff, I don't think your car is legal for STU, FWIW.

That is not true at all. Rear diffs can have a marked impact on the overall balance dynamics of a vehicle.

P.S. I may try running STU at nats this year. Hopefully in a 350Z

depends on how the rear diff is set up - if you've got a 1.5 way, there is some initial lock up that actually binds the rear wheels a little - 2 way or locked being extreme examples. so, you still need to have a competent suspension set up for turn in as well

That really depends on how the car is driven. If regular three phases of the cornering are taken with late braking, than 1.5 vs. 2 way makes a difference. If braking is done early enough that sets you up to go around with throttle on through the whole corner, than way of the diff makes no difference and you even cheat on one of the phases altogether!

this is true. getting a little OT - STU can't really do anything about their diffs other than restack.

I got good initial lockup with a freshly restacked diff. Probably helped by more aggressive brake pads at the back.
