CBRD get do a lot of custom valving for ohlins setup on their clients cars. maybe you can contact them and see who they use.

Thanks!. I forgot about Anze. They are relatively local as well so that's a plus.

It seems strange that Ohlins has switched to a smaller spherical bearing. It's not like there would be a huge cost savings there.

The new Ciro bearing plate has the spherical bearing sit below the camber plate. This moves the whole strut down about 10-15mm. I have the Ohlins ride height almost at the minimum setting, but the actual ride height is close to the ride height with "normal" camber plates and the Ohlins at their factory ride height setting. If I wanted to go much lower (I don't, yet) I'd probably have to switch camber plates first.

Either that or Rick made some new upper plates that accept these new bearing carriers right-side-up and just forgot to tell me about it.

You can also see that my Ohlins' spherical bearing has a smaller ID than the Ciro plates.

Performance Shock did top-notch work on my Ohlins.
Thanks for the pictures. That is very strange that they are now using a smaller bearing. I knew something was amiss as you are clearly not an idiot so for all your measurements to be off just didn't seem right...I'll try and snap some pictures of my plates this weekend. You can almost see from looking at the pictures that the Ohlins spherical is smaller. Really strange...

My CDR plates have the new bearing pack (I think) Its D shaped rather than a circle however I didnt have to mount them upside down like you did so maybe I dont...

Oh and glad to hear Performance Shock did a nice job on yours. I've only heard great things from them but I like to shop around and research the **** out of things before I pull the trigger so I'm going to make some calls to a few shops and send them where I feel most comfortable.

Oh hey Chad Guess I don't have to email you...so have you noticed any differences between going through PS vs. Ohlins USA? Any reason I should choose one over the other?
