I remember someone on EvoM got their local dealership to play ball with a DIY exchange, but I doubt that's an option with the average dealership
A tip: If you don't trust your dealership, so some of the work to remove the trim pieces before you go in. My dealership broke a couple clips while doing the airbag recall. These cars are old and technicians don't get much experience with them.
Its the passenger airbag right? you could probably remove the dash and take the dash in? they can replace the airbag for you and then you take the dash back. trouble would be if you get any codes on the ABS Ecu.
I doubt many dealerships would be keen allowing a customer to interfere with any airbag system really
We’ve been waiting all winter to get the motor back from English Racing on the hill climb car (HCC). In the meantime we’re building (or rebuilding) another evo for autox and to take to races as a backup to the HCC.
last night we got the home made FMIC hanging in the car. This is fabbed with a left over Setrab core we got back in 2016/2017. They discontinued the product line unfortunately.
