sorry to hear - i feel so bad for you guys!

this may be a silly question but have you been using the same block? id venture to guess there are some abnormally stressed areas in that particular block that is causing the same repeated issue.

They cracked the number 4 rod journal. No responses to comments on FB asking if it was a manley or OEM crank, or something else.

Are you guys logging oil pressure? Going thru rod or main bearings would certainly lead me to think those left handers are causing you to lose pressure.

^^^^ They didn't lose a bearing, they cracked the journal/crank.

Lack of oil could cause increased load and heat leading to failure. If he's broken multiple cranks that shouldn't have broken, I would assume its not the cranks fault.

Of course, all guessing here with out more info.

Here is the pic they put on FB. The crank kind of looks like a Manley, in which case, cracking is just what they do. Also, no real evidence of a lack of lube or too much heat in this pic.

Is that a longitudinal crack at the oil passage way?? If these cranks are not worthy, wonder why RS Motors chose that?

Well we got them back in the race today.
Ronnie, Brandon, and Andy hot rodded a U-haul truck and trailer to Tampa from Memphis, to our place. Actually Ronnie and Andy slept, Brandon drove, and apparently he drives a U-haul like an EVO, knocked a good hour or so off the drive time.

We had the engine out of our last year's crash and it now resides in the RS EVO.

Great bunch of guys and so happy to help out a fellow set of racers.

Got word the car made it to Sebring for the next event, and the guys were drinking beers and looking for hot showers at the hotel and some rest.
