Tune on start up? New motor....
My current tune is for my (just replaced)2.4 motor. Current 2.2 new motor is soon to be started first time. Is my 2.4 tune safe to use for break in miles? Should I get a new baseline for 2.2 before start up? Concerned about “To Rich” not allowing rings to seal.
Need help on E-tune shops. I have been trying to research tuning needs. I like the convenience of e-tuning, but who with? TSComptuned takes 1-2 weeks between emails and I need to buy stuff to get started and very close to starting. On stock ECU for now. Who do you reccommend?

Starter hits magnus oil pan
Starter against oil pan
Wea are having trouble installing the starter where it goes. It hits the new magnus oil pan. Did anyone have to grind and grind to make this work? Any tapping or rubbing if you did get it to fit? Magnuse recommended finding smaller starter....said there are 11 different ones used for the EVO?

I've never head of 11 different starters for the Evo? They couldn't tell you what to get? Wow......

Wow is right. The advice for a starter that didnt fit was to find a smaller starter. Sorta stating the obvious, lol!
Do you have a part number for that current starter? I can look on mine when I get home to give you some data points and/ or take pics and measurements to see if mine is is any different than what you have.

My thoughts exactly. $6000 kit that doesn’t fit. However, Magnus did say they would send me a more recent version. I keep getting surprised when my EVO uncovers problems that haven’t been solved. Really? Even my intake for FP Red couldn’t be done right because nobody knew the FP has 3.25” inlet, requiring an elbow coupler that’s 3.25” - 4” for the K&N filter. Seriously! WTF!
And tonight. The exhaust won’t clear the pan either. I’m done! New EVO for sale. 99.8% together. 🤮

We all could've told you the 4g64 Block would cause exhaust fitment issues. That 6mm taller deck height takes up a lot more room than people seem to think.

Welcome to the world of aftermarket! Then you start compounding these aftermarket parts on more aftermarket parts, and fitment is very rarely perfect.
Is that actually an OEM starter you got there?
Also to be fair, That kit is older and was not purchased through Magnus. Sounds like they are still helping you out which is nice, the guys there seem to be pretty cool to work with.

I have to agree with Andy. My kit was purchased new as second hand unit, therefore, older generation. Magnus has answered every call and been quick with support. I should of been more clear on that. Clouded by my frustrations. Anyway, good support all the way thus far. Hooping to find smaller starter to avoid back tracking.
Lost my One Lap ride as of yesterday (BMW M2). Now, to drive or not to drive my new built IX RS? Probably not with my current 5th gear. Ho Hummmmm..

In my old age, I've learned this and is why my car is pretty much OEM nowadays. I don't have the time, money, nor patience to deal with the endless "now I have to fix this, and now I have to fix that" blah bleh. Kudos to those who do, though.
