car's almost wrapped up for alignment and a few bushings etc. Shop said if they didn't know it had been in an accident, wouldn't have been able to tell

he did say some the steering rack bushings that held everything in place (whiteline) were all screwed up, and that could have caused a variety of issues, including some of the clunking I had been getting. should get the car back tomorrow

As Bee would say, this place is dead again lol.

But to poke fun, Bee did hashtag Voltex when he's actually running Footex lol.

I recently had to rebuild one of my Ohlins (because I'm an idiot) and just recently got everything back from Performance Shock including new camber plate bearings, 800 in/lb & 1450 in/lb springs, and a rebound adjuster. I bought a soldering iron and some tefzel wiring to make a new COP harness to cross that off my spark issue list. Next is to order some 18x12s for eventual Hoosiers and some 285/30-18 streets for my NT03s and local auto-x. Picture of beefy springs to make this less dead.

To be honest most of my aero is custom now. the only factory "voltex" bit is part of the fibreglass bumper itself. Splitter canards etc all custom lol

But the hashtag gets the views. just like i tag evo9 but its a 7 hahah.

I might head back to the track next weekend. go for another skid. Winter series starting in july so pretty keen to jump into that for some seat time

Would you mind sharing how mush PSi charged you for the rebuild? I was debating sending my flags to them for a rebuild as well and they're one of the only shops who can still work on them.

Not that cool of a story. I bought them used and was trying to get the reservoir alignment plates off. After years of use by Grice they were press fit on the shaft and I thought they were bolted. A few bolts, a quick pop and a bunch of shock oil later I realized I'm stupid and that they just needed to be pried off.

$257 for the front one with all the fees and stuff but no taxes or shipping. They warned me in advance they were out of parts but I explained they were recently rebuilt and just needed some liquid and gas. I was also looking for dust boots for front and rear but they were out. At least I was able to get a rebound adjuster so I don't have to use an allen wrench.

This car is going to rip so hard. And I should know, setup is quite familiar

Torque RT700 was rebadged brake fluid. The original supplier is still producing it. It can be bought from Pegasus Auto under the name Prospeed RS683.

I read that somewhere, but the specifications don't match.

Torque claimed wet/dry boiling points of 683F/439F ( http://www.torquebrakefluid.com/comp...ke_fluids.html )

Prospeed RS683 claims boiling points of 583F/394F ( https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...sp?RecID=10510 )

Anyone here have experience with DF Goblins? Looking for a new dedicated track car and one of those fits my budget. I also already have the donor car.

Thought that sounded familiar. My roommate is a ecotec fanatic. If you're gonna build one of those skip the LNF and LSJ. Just grab an LE5 from a scrapyard and drop a stock turbo setup from an LNF onto it. Will be plenty of fun for an exo car without being expensive at all.

Looks cool, but I don't like that it uses the mac strut front suspension from the donor car as rear suspension. That could of course be changed, but it would be a good amount of work designing and SLA or multi link rear end.
