Most EGT probes use a compression fitting and adapt to a 1/8 NPT. If your having issues with them coming loose you just need to torque the **** out of it. If it's an NPT thread then get a tap an widen the threads a bit more and then tighten it down good. I've had zero issues with my EGT prove loosening in my manifold.

What intake manifold is that?

Hypertune or something else?

Japanese Evo tuners, like GForce and Unlimited Works, highly appreciate Hypertune over all others for its ability to retain low-mid range torque, and yet offer top end benefits.

yes its a hypertune. Beautiful intake. i had a racefab which cracked on me literally every time i took the car out. it wasnt normalised or welded bolted to a jig so it was stressed to **** and it would always split in the same spots. Half the reason i scoff when i see you guys foaming at the mouth over racefab sumps haha.

This is the good side of the racefab lol. the whole plenum along the top side splits open all the time.

Brad,

Did you ever dyno-test the Hypertune, and compare to "something else"?
Or somehow evaluated it for performance, low-mid, and top end, in terms of spool, torque, power, everything.

Magnus V5 looses some on bottom, but gains mid-top end clearly.
Skunk 2 recent version is perhaps a milder-option, with less-to-no losses in bottom, but not as much gain on top on bigger engine - compared to Magnus V5.

Hypertune is perhaps combining the benefits of both, with no downsides, but I have never found a test that proves it.

Its beautiful for sure.

Thanks for sharing pics, truly a work of art.

For under 500hp applications it seems just a ported stock manifold is the way to go. I still havent touched my manifold or throttle body, its just about the only thing I havent modified yet.

Been thinking about tossing on an FP cast exhaust manifold and just get Curt Brown to port my Intake mani. Cant see a compelling reason to do anything more though.

For how you described you run your car (not on kill boost) you'll make same power at a bit less boost. That's about it.

Yeah, shaft seals replaced like 5-6years ago. I should do another pressure test before nats to make sure all is well and see if any of them things are leaking for winter maintenance.

I know we push the Blouch 1.0xtr pretty hard, probably wouldnt be bad to get a little more flow and less pressure drop through the intake/exhaust mani. Dont know if I'll see any response change but any bit of extra bottom end would be welcome.

I can assure u I paid far less than 2300usd haha. (Ballpark 1000usd)

I didn't test it back to back as such. I also changed from id2300 injectors to Siemens 2650s. And we had never tuned it with the sequential gearbox but I dont think that would affect it too much.

I also changed tuners so hard to get a back to back comparism but we made 45kw more from start to finish
