You can do the knock sensor with just removing the water pipe and intake manifold bracket, no need to take the manifold out.

The "why not" is you're basically throwing money away. A stock turbo can spike enough torque to break the stock motor with a stock manifold.

i just confirmed this price is correct....

is it worth getting maps for their flex joint, or no? the rest of my exhaust is OEM fitment
Yes, you want the flex joint. The exhaust moves a lot with the rigors of track duty.

Yea even the 02 housing is pretty cheap. I still have stock, wonder if this will be worthy?

Anyone know of a roof antenna delete or if the base it screws into is still available? Looks like the plastic base of mine got brittle and broke. Was looking for some delete solution but came up empty handed.

I wouldn't buy that. Even in the pics where they tried to make it look good it looks like a poorly made piece with a cheap shiny coating.

Took me a minute to get back here, but thanks for the responses on the brake cooling. I'll weigh my options and maybe do some testing without the ducting in a couple weeks.

Yea maybe something bottom of the barrel isn't the way to go haha. Maps 02 housing, looks pretty decent? Unless there's one that just superior for a little more I wouldn't mind. Also, is it worth looking into an exhaust manifold for a bolt on stock turbo for autox STU class?

Lol. The MAP one is the same part, look at the gasket it comes with.

I don't think anyone make a quality fabricated O2 housing anymore.

These Invidia ones are nice pieces-

Any turbo option for these car is capable of breaking the stock connecting rods, so if the motor isn't built, you don't need a manifold.

Got the car all back together and aligned this weekend. Been working on the ECU a ton and got to take it for a bit of a drive today. Noticed the steering would take a set when changing directions, maybe 5 deg at the steering wheel.

Had wife jerk wheel back and forth and verified steering rack was moving back and forth. I seem to recall last year thinking the steering was doing the same thing but much less.

Pulled subframe down as much as I could without dropping it and was able to tighten both locating bolts about 1/2 turn each. Hoping that's all it was.

have also had these bolts come loose they are on my regular checks list as they often back off especially if you move the car around alot with the power steering off eg pushing around shed or onto trailer etc.
