Here is the documentation about the Evo 9 plug-in. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/07...f?v=1691256146
I am running the universal Emtron KV8, best ECU next to Motec.

I’ve got a kv8 on the hill climb car. Really like it.
but I’m not wanting to run the acd off of the emtron - are you still running abs and the stock acd ecu? If so how painful (or painless) was the wiring?
Are you running DBW, pre-throttle pressure sensor to utilize torque management?

I cant see any reason at this point to not upgrade the OEM ECU if you're willing. Don't know anything specific about Emtron other than I haven't met anyone who went to it and wanted to upgrade or had bad things to say.
My car never ran as good on the OEM ecu as it does on the aftermarket ecu and I don't have to trick it do try and get it to work in a way it wasn't designed for. The datalogging and safeties alone make it worth it for me. Just always having the ECU logging data when its needed is so lovely.

@orion4096 did some great work patching it to the IX ECU but I haven't seen many reports of testing: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...l#post11938976
Haltech's new S3 looks like the best value right now for aftermarket ECUs. The Nexus S3 plug-in kit for the IX is $2600: https://www.haltech.com/product/ht-2...r-harness-kit/
The Haltech has an on-board wideband O2 controller, so you don't need to buy and deal with an external wideband O2 controller. They also include the air temperature sensor in the box, which is a nice touch.
Part of me wants to go Motec with the JRR package and be done with it, but the JRR Motec package plus AEM external wideband controller comes to $4000. The Haltech system also looks more convenient to work with and datalog from with their new phone app.

It was weirdly simple.
I was super stressed on how the tuner (Eric) was going to be able time the shifts, how the engine was going to decel to rev match … it was complicated in my head.
When not came time to do that part of the tune it worked almost perfect the first time. The only thing we’ve tweaked on shifting after the initial session was trying to reduce the “bang”.
overall I would say the shifting part of the tune was dreamy
lol @ bscomp!
checked with English and they don’t remote tune either.
Looks like it will be cheaper for me to get en emtron and have it tuned locally than take off work and trailer the car up to English and have them tune it
